As being one of the oldest chalets it has been tastefully renovated and maintains its original features of stone and wooden beams and is ideally located in the tranquil, picturesque Savoyard hamlet of Les Bois, five minutes from Chamonix and a minute's walk to the La Flégère lift and the 18 holes golf course.
The spacious chalet enjoys stunning 360-degree views of the Mont Blanc massif from panoramic windows, balcony and garden. The relaxing livingroom with a central fireplace connects with the dining area and opens out onto a terrace and balcony.
The wooden gable end of the house has been replaced with glass to give wonderful panoramic views of Mont Blanc and up to the La Flégère and Brévent slopes. Lots of comfortable sofas to sink into in front of the roaring fire provide the perfect end of day activity. The old hayloft ladders form a well stocked library for those who want nothing more than to curl up with a good book.
The spacious, open-plan very well-equipped kitchen and dining area are all with stunning views, ideal for a family or a group of friends to cook after an exhilarating day in the mountains a scrumptious dinner or enjoy a fabulous bespoke 4-course haute cuisine dinners & pre- dinner canapés by our french chef by candle light and a cosy fire.
There is floor heating to keep a comfortable and consistent temperature.
The 300 year old farmhouse has been tastefully renovated into a stylish chalet which already featured in international interior magazines. Operating since december 2010, Absoluut Chalet Holidays is a small, friendly, owner operated company run by Jolanda & Olaf and their fantastic chef.
The four bedrooms are all ensuite and the bedroom up on the second floor has a French copper bateau bath with wonderful views from the top of the chalet. Separate toilets are situated on each floor. There are radiators in each room to be under control of your own comfortable room temperature.
At the end of an enjoyable day in the mountains , guest can unwind in the outdoor woodfired eco hottub (prepared by us each morning) to soak up more of the fresh mountain air and the incredible views of Les Drus , relax in our amazing sauna or curl up into one of the comfortable sofas in front of the roaring fire.
Jolanda & Olaf, attentive when you need them invisible when you don't. They will be there to ensure you have a great stay. And if you want their bespoke dinners cann be prepared by their excellent french chef.

Apple TV and a music system is available for your entainment. There is a WIFI network for internet acces, an IMac & printer and good old fashioned games to enjoy.
We have incorporated energy saving methods and adhered to good environmental building principles wherever possible. Solar panels were installed in the roof which are used to assist the central heating system.

Chamonix the town is more than just another ski resort. It offers a true French mountain experience with world class skiing and the ideal playground for al all types and levels of outdoor activity such as hiking, ice and rock climbing, skiing, paragliding, rafting, and canyoning. The town sits at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the tallest mountain in Europe reaching 4810m, 15,781ft.
The village of Les Bois is surrounded by the dramatic and rugged peaks of the Mont Blanc massif and home to some of the finest skiing terrain in the world. There are shops, bars and renowned restaurants within walking distance from the chalet. Also the one of the sunniest terracebar in Chamonix, bands playing early evening, great atmosphere and just a walk away from the chalet. The village is lovely -twinkly lights, roaring fires and cosy atmosphere.
Our chalet is situated in the tranquil, picturesque Savoyard hamlet of Les Bois, five minutes from Chamonix and a minute's walk to the La Flégère lift. La Flégère is well known for skiing and snowboarding in winter or hiking and mountain biking in summer. Chamonix is the ideal playground for all types and levels of outdoor activity such as hiking, ice and rock climbing, skiing, paragliding, rafting, and canyoning.
Guests have easy access to the other areas within a 10 km radius, including the Grands Montets and the world-famous Vallée Blanche descent. Cross-country skiers & hikers will be in heaven as the ski de fond & tracks pass by the chalet. And we have for summer and natural playground with ponies, an aerial runway, a small lake for swimming and a small restaurant that serves drinks (also nice bottles of rose) and snacks, walking distance from the chalet.

We can provide different levels of catering depending on what you prefer. We have a team of amazing french chefs available to cook dinner for the week or maybe a couple of nights or perhaps you would just like breakfast brought in each day. Olaf & Jolanda, attentive when you need it invisible when you don't. We will be there to ensure that your get most out of your holiday.

We are only 900 meter from the mayor ilift and we are happy to do flexible drop offs and pick ups you there and at any choice towards the other ski area’s around,all within a very short drive of the chalet.

Conditions
Your booking will be reserved for an agreed time (normally 48 hours) to allow you to complete the booking form and return it to us, by email or post, accompanied by a 25% deposit of the full holiday price. Or full payment if the booking is made within 10 weeks prior to arrival. You may choose to pay either by credit card , electronic bank transfer or by cheque. The Client will be liable to fulfil payment for all those persons in whose name the booking was made.This first instalment ensures the reservation of the accommodation for the period of the requested stay, until the contract is made. Once the deposit is received, a confirmation will be emailed to the Client.
Final Payment: The client undertakes to make the final payment of 75% of the price of the accommodation no later than 10 weeks prior to arrival; in case of late booking, full payment must be made at time of booking. If payment is not received by the due date

With its proximity to Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel and also over the pass to Switzerland the options for exploring the region are wonderful.
The Chamonix / Les Bois area
Les Bois - Les Praz is the starting point for the cable car up to La Flégère, which is well known for skiing and snowboarding in winter or hiking and mountain biking in summer. Chamonix serves as an ideal playground for almost all types of outdoor activity, especially their more extreme variants, such as ice climbing, rock climbing, extreme skiing, paragliding, rafting, and canyoning.
Since the 18th century, Chamonix and the Mont-Blanc massive has been a summer holiday destination, developing into a winter holiday destination from 1903 on. In 1924 Chamonix hosted the first edition of the Winter Olympics. In 1965, a tunnel has been built under the Mont-Blanc, linking Chamonix to Courmayeur in Italy. By the 1960s, agriculture had been reduced to a marginal activity, while the number of tourist beds available rose to around 60,000 by the end of the 20th century, with about 5 million visitors a year.
Mont Blanc, at a height of 4,810 metres, is the third most visited natural site in the world. This lends the area a notably cosmopolitan atmosphere.
