About the home

The Skiers Lodge apartment is ideally situated in the World Cup Ski Circuit venue of Les Houches, which is one of the ski areas that make up the resorts of the Chamonix Valley.

Under the fabulous panorama of the Mont-Blanc chain, with soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, the apartment is a rare find, in a privileged position - right on the downhill piste. You can ski to the door! And just a short 200m level walk to the cable car, four-seat chair lift, local shops, bars and restaurants.

In Summer, being located only 200m from the Bellevue cable car makes this a convenient base camp for those attempting to climb Mont Blanc or walk the Tour du Mont Blanc. Or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the large deck area and swimming pool!

The property is a recently renovated basement apartment, within a larger chalet. It has its own independent entrance, accessed through the shared garden.

There are 2 separate bedrooms. One double and one double or twin. Plus a sofa bed in the fully equipped kitchen/lounge. There is a separate dining area and 1 family bathroom, with shower.

The apartment has a large deck area giving fabulous views of the Mont Blanc Chain.

The pool is available June- September and shared with the residents of the chalet only. The apartment has its own entrance point to the pool which is through the patio doors of the main bedroom.

20% non refundable deposit required at time of booking.
Balance payable at least 8 weeks before arrival.
£250 damage/breakage deposit required, payable with balance. Refunded (subject to no deductions) within 30 days of departure.

For more than 200 years, Chamonix has been one of the most popular year round destinations due to its exceptional mountain activities and sightseeing possibilities in and around the Mont Blanc massif. In the winter there are 5 independent ski areas and not forgetting the famous Valle Blanche ski experience.

In the summer numerous cable-cars, chairlifts and mountain railways make the mountain heights accessible to everyone.

The Chamonix / Les Houches area

Chamonix - probably best known as the skiing and alpine capital of the world. As a winter sports destination it has a reputation for the extreme which masks the great variety of family ski-ing that is also present here. Whilst the principal town is of the same name, 'Chamonix' is often used in reference to the whole valley stretching from Les Houches to Vallorcine near the Swiss border.

Chamonix is one of France's most visited towns and dominated by the landmark of Mont-Blanc (4807m). Views and scenery are stunning and the extent and variety of the terrain is unparalleled.

Les Houches
A traditional alpine village in the Chamonix Valley just 10 minutes from central Chamonix by the free ski bus. With its own lift system and identity it is a ski resort in its own right and offers some exceptional ski-ing! Host to a number of world ski-ing events, Le Kandahar, the Chamonix Mens World Cup Downhill is the highlight, held each January on the famous La Verte piste, next to the chalet. Les Houches is also the permanent home of the British Ski Academy.

Ride the Mont-Blanc rack railway from the heart of the Les Houches ski area down to St. Gervais. Here you can visit the Thermal Baths and enjoy a variety of beauty treatments. Les Houches is also home to the Huski Sleigh Rides. For adults and children alike you will get a chance to be a musher and drive your own sleigh! In the neighbouring village of Servoz you can visit the St Bernard Kennels to see the cute new puppies.

You can also try paragliding or visit the ice caves on the Mer de Glace Glacier. A pedestrian lift-ticket can be provided so you can ride the cable-cars and meet up with friends for lunch!

“Great Apartment with great Location” Our Family stayed at the Skiers Lodge Apartment over the new Year. The apartment was all that was advertised on the website it was great. The apartment is ideally located in the village of Les Houches and very close to both ski lifts. We like the apartment that much that we have re-booked for March.
