Home description

This comfortable apartment is situated in a peaceful location with stunning views of Mont Blanc from the garden. It is close to all the amenities which include supermarket, ski/cycle hire restaurants, bars, boulangerie, bus stop and ski lifts. Great for mountain biking and walking in the summer. There is a lake with a children's play area and public tennis courts. The apartment has two bedrooms with one bedroom leading to garden. Enjoy the views while you sit in the garden.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Mont Blac and Lake Annecy are located in Haute-Savoie. The town of Évian-les-Bains is also located in Haute-Savoie, which is well-known around the world for its mineral water, Evian.

Well-known ski resorts are located in Haute-Savoie. Mont-Blanc, Europe's highest mountain (4808 metres high) provides skiing and mountaineering.


Chamonix / Les Houches area

Golf
There is a well maintained, 18 hole golf course at Les Praz, which is just outside of Chamonix.

Skiing
Les Houches ski area is very pretty with pistes to suit all abilities and long descents through the trees. There is a ski school. It is a great family resort wth excellent mountain restaurants. There are other ski areas in and around Chamonix which are all accessible by the local bus. If you fancy a days ski in Italy (Courmayeur) the Mont Blanc tunnel is only 4 kms from Les Houches.

There are many activities in the area which include white water rafting, rock climbing, indoor climbing, outdoor swimming pool, golf, tennis, mountain biking, hill walking, hiking, paragliding.
The cinema in Chamonix regularly shows English speaking films.


How to get there

Les Houches is approximately 1 hour from Geneva airport. Contact me if you require details of airport transfers.
There are local buses that provide transport throughout the Chamonix valley. Driving takes about 8 hours from Calais.

Chamonix - 6km.
Courmayeur (Italy) - 20 km (through Mont Blanc tunnel).
Geneva airport - 55 km.
