Home description

An ideal apartment for both summer and winter holidays. It is small and compact with a separate double bedroom and double sofa bed in the lounge. It has a modern and well equipped kitchen plus separate bath / shower room. It is located at the rear of the apartment complex, which is quiet and secluded

Residence Mont Blanc Plein Sud is conveniently located within Les Houches. All the shops, restaurants and the main supermarket are within a short walk. The small nursery ski slope and lift are also within walking distance. A bus stop is a couple of minutes away for access to the main lifts of Les Houches and Chamonix. The apartment is ideal for a couple or two people sharing and is well equipped for self catering with modern kitchen including oven and hob.
There is also a private and secure parking place within the on site underground car park, which is a major benefit during the winter months. A cave adjacent to the apartment provides extra storage for skis/bikes etc avoiding clutter in the flat.

Chamonix / Les Houches area

There is no place quite like Chamonix with its high mountain scenery, the sheer beauty of which will take your breath away. There are majestic ice falls and glaciers, one of Europe's highest cable cars, cog railways that take you on a journey through time, a beautiful alpine town, witness to 250 years of mountaineering history. In addition there are the traditional alpine villages and hamlets scattered along the 20km long valley.

If you ski or snowboard you will enjoy the tremendous variety of terrain that the Chamonix valley has to offer. Gentle family runs through the trees, immaculate cross country pistes, amusing snow parks or mythical glacier descents such as the Grands Montets and the Vallée Blanche (guide recommended). If you're looking for new sensations, the mountain professionals also offer their services for ski touring, free-ride, ice climbing, and paragliding.

Many of the lifts and cog railways also give access to exceptional viewpoints and mountain restaurants. There are marked winter hiking and snow-shoeing trails, a tremendous sports complex including 2 indoor heated pools, an ice rink, keep fit and spa facilities, tennis/squash courts and indoor climbing walls...

Chamonix Mont-Blanc is situated at 88km from Geneva International airport; 220km from Lyon and 171 km from Turin.
• Direct access via the « Autoroute Blanche » E25-A40 linked with the European motorway network.
• 16 km from Switzerland via the Col des Montets
• 15 km from Italy via the Mont-Blanc tunnel

Trains from Geneva run to St Gervais which is linked by public bus to Les Houches. A regular public bus service also links Chamonix, Les houches to Geneva.The main bus stop for the Geneva service stops within 50 meters of the apartment.

The apartment is located in the ski resort of les Houches, approx 5 km from Chamonix town.

Located next to the swimming pool area it has a private decked area, which is ideal for barbecues etc. There is is also a ski locker in the main building and a cave just to the side of the apartment for storage of bikes etc. An ideal location for summer and winter holidays and very much a home from home . It is comfortable and well equipped for a couple or small family.

Further details outdoors:
The apartment complex has an outdoor swimming pool which is open during the summer months. The apartment is located directly opposite the pool approx 20metres and is ideal for barbecues on the decking.


Further details

Rentals are normally for at least one week paid one month in advance. A 20% refundable deposit is required to secure bookings, which is returned less any deductions for breakages etc.

Linen and towels are included plus basic cleaning after use. However it expected that guests leave the apartment as they would wish to find it. All rubbish to be removed to the poubelle within the main complex.
