FIRST TWO WEEKS OF JUNE NOW AVAILABLE!!!

A great place to call home in a great location for all mountain adventures, in both summer and winter!

Our garden apartment is situated on the lower floor of a chalet located in the heart of Les Houches village.

The apartment sleeps 4 adults and 2 children with a double bedroom, a children's sized bunk bed just outside the bedroom (a coin montagne), and a comfy double sofa bed in the lounge.

As you pass through your private entrance you enter directly into the lounge. The decor is clean and neutral with hints of warm purple running through the room. The soft purple sofa opens up to become a comfy full size double bed for older children or a second couple. The lounge has central heating but there is also an electric fire with flame lighting to give you that real fire feeling. The lounge has a feature Crystal Rock Wall built by the original owner, who enjoyed hiking around the local mountains, and collecting these beautiful stones along his way. With two large windows in the lounge and french doors on to a garden terrace this large room is light and airy.

The terrace is lined with pine trees and in the winter you have an open view of the valley and viaduct below. A great space for making snowmen and playing in the snow. For warmer days and evenings there is a table and chairs for dining alfresco!

Off from the Lounge is an internal storage cupboard for coats and shoes, and your skis and boots, keeping them warm over night.

The Kitchen is a large open plan american style kitchen along the back wall of the lounge. It is kitted out with everything you may need while you are here:

* Full size cooker with electric ceramic hob and oven

* Microwave and Toaster

* Kettle and coffee machine

* Crockery and baking dishes

* Dining table with seating for 6

* Children's plastic plates, cups and crockery

* Wooden highchair and Toddler booster seat

* Full size dishwasher

* Washing machine

There are plenty of things to keep you entertained after a busy day in the great mountains outside:

* Freeview UK TV Channels

* DVD Player, with a selection of dvd's to view

* Orange TV for French Guests

* Wifi access for your laptops and smart phones

* An iPod docking system

* An X-Box with a selection of Games

* Poker Game

* A selection of Books

* Children's DVD's, books, puzzles and toys

It is only a few minutes walk to the local 'Tourchet' ski slope (great for beginners) where you can try out night skiing, sledging and free iceskating. It is 5-10 minutes walk to the 'Bellevue' telecabine and chairlift and 20 mins to the 'Prarion' telecabine.

Les Houches sits at the foot of Mont Blanc, and from the summit of the ski area you will be thrilled by a 360° view of the surrounding area

The ski area of Les Houches extends from an altitude of 950m to 1900m.

From the summit one has a spectacular 360° view of the Mont-Blanc massive, and with 55 km of slopes meandering through the forests, you will discover the real pleasures of skiing.

The international reputation of Les Houches is built on the World Cup downhill piste "la Verte", but the resort is also an ideal terrain for learners, particularly with the new beginners' area, at the top of Prarion. The forest trails are a delight for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

When needed, artificial snow coverage is assured by more than 120 snow maker machines, positioned throughout the pistes of Les Houches.

As well as down hill skiing and snowboarding, there are Nordic Ski paths where you can discover winter nature in all it's beauty, on cross-country pistes 'Ski de Fond' and snowshoe paths 'raquettes'.

From Les Houches it is only a 10 minute drive, bus or train journey to the heart of Chamonix and it's ski slopes - Brevent and Flegere, or a little further to Argentiere's Grands Montets and Le Tour. Take the gondola up to the Aiguille de Midi, where you take in the peaks of the Mont Blanc range or ski the Vallee Blanch. Take a ride on the Montenvers mountain train to view the Mer de Glace, and its Ice Cave.

And in the summer:

Go walking up and down mountain trails, with breathtaking sights along the way

Climb Mont Blanc or take on the Tour du Mont Blanc trail

Rock Climbing

Mountain Biking on marked trails

Road Cycling up and over some famous cols

Golf in Argentiere

Thermal spas and swimming lakes are just a short drive away
