The Chalet is perfectly located for summer activities. 5 minutes walk from Les Gaillands lake and climbing wall, a petanque court and access to many wooded trails for walking or cycling.

There are many more adventurous activities available in and around Chamonix, and our chalet is a perfect base for them- hiking, climbing, paraponting ,white water rafting - the choice is endless!

Day trips to Italy or Switzerland are available by car (30mins to border) or by organised coach trips from the town centre.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Both the magnificent Mont Blanc and Lake Annecy are located in Haute-Savoie. To the North, Haute-Savoie borders on Switzerland, with Geneva as the closest major town, and Lake Geneva. The town of Évian-les-Bains is the most famous town on the French shore of Lake Geneva, well-known around the world for its mineral water Evian. To the east, Haute-Savoie borders Italy and to the west the department of Ain.

Regional Coaches offer day trips to Annecy, Cormayeur or Aosta in Italy, and the Mont Blanc Express train will take to on a panoramic trip to Martigny in Switzerland

FLY - Easyjet , FlyBe and BMIbaby flights from UK to Geneva.

DRIVE - 897km (8 hours drive) from Calais, see googlemap for directions,
or Hire a car from Geneva through Europcar or Avis.

We recommend direct transfers from Geneva to the Chamonix valley via Cham Express -25 euros each way.

Local transport is very convenient to the Chalet, nearest bus stop 100m. Nearest train station 500m. The Chalet is 3km from Chamonix town centre.
