Home description

The apartment been refurbished to a very high standard and is ideally situated in the centre of Argentiere. Less than 8 mins to the ski lifts and less than a minute to bars, restaurants & supermarket. Arranged over 3 floors all with south facing views (61m2), the floors are linked via an original wood beam staircase.

On the 3rd floor is double bedroom under the sloping roof. Adjacent to this is a shower and toilet. Down to the 2nd floor landing and the 2nd bedroom with south facing balcony and views over the communal gardens at the rear of building and up to Grands Montets. Also off the 2nd floor landing is the family bathroom with bath and toilet. The kitchen shares the 1st floor with the lounge/dining area and is fully fitted with oak cupboards and granite worktops. The lounge features an exposed original stone wall, a double sofa bed and access onto south facing balcony. A door off the living room leads to the bunk room with access to its own balcony.

The apartment faces south looking onto the Grands Montets and the Aiguille Vert. The back garden is green and lush in summer and covered in snow in the winter.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Chamonix is the perfect holiday destination for any season! You'll be surprised at the size of this alpine mountain town and the amount it has to offer you. Chamonix sits at the foot of Mont Blanc in the heart of the French Alps, displaying glaciers and breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains all around.

The skiing in Chamonix has a reputation for steep unforgiving runs, and there is enough on-piste challenge to provide a work-out for even the most advanced skiers. There is also plenty of skiing for the intermediate skier, enormous off-piste potential and some of the best ski touring in the world.

Historic Chamonix is a cosmopolitan town full of life and incredible scenery. In addition to the Ski season for which it is famous, there are hundreds of shops, countless restaurants, bars, clubs and a casino. There is also the sports centre with indoor and outdoor pools, ice rink, rock climbing, paragliding, water rafting, mountain bike trails and an 18 hole golf course. There's always plenty to do for the children too. Chamonix also has a the highest cable car in Europe to take you to the top of Mont Blanc and the Montenvers train to visit the Sea of Ice glacier and ice grotto. Plus cinema, Alpine Museum and a local market on Saturday morning - selling a wide range of local produce.

With a huge range of on and off mountain activities, there is something for everyone throughout the year. Chamonix is a place you'll want to come back to time and time again!


Chamonix / Argentiere area

The apartment is in the heart of the Argentiere town, right next to the tourist centre and the town hall. The ski hire shop (Jarasse Sports) is conveniently opposite the apartment, where guests of Chamonix All Year receive a 15% discount on all ski and snowboard hire.

Argentiere is a lively village situated at the head end of the famous Chamonix Valley and is home to the best of Chamonix's 5 ski areas; the Grand Montets.

You can walk to the ski lift in just 8 minutes from the apartment as well.

Book a private or shared door to door transfer with us. We have carefully selected two partners to take you from Geneva to your chosen accommodation in Chamonix.

We can include the transfers costs (in sterling) in with the price of your accommodation and book on your behalf. To do this, please advise us of your dates, flight number and arrival / departure times, contact mobile number and the number of people in your party and we will organise this for you. Please also let us know if you are travelling with Skis or snowboards or require child seats.
Chamshuttle - Groups of 1-6

Angela (who also runs the Property Management Service) offers a private door to door service in a comfortable people carrier. She will wait for you with your name at the arrivals gate at Geneva Airport, and drive you direct to your accommodation. If your flight is delayed she will wait for you at no extra charge when you call / text to advise of your new arrival time.

For the return journey you will be collected from your accommodation or agreed location in the Chamonix Valley. Please remember to allow 90 minutes for the journey and time to check-in for your flight.

Three - six people (One way) - €35 euros per person

Bookings are usually Saturday to Saturday, but we are flexible on your dates and also offer season letting. Just let us know your requirements and we will work out a price for you.

We are also happy to offer discounts on bookings of more than week.


Conditions

The chalet is located at the foot of the ski slopes in Le Tour / Col De Balme and is just 50m from the nurery slopes and a few minutes walk to the main lift in Le Tour. Le Tour is at the north west end of the Chamonix valley and is the highest hamlet in the valley at 1,462m.
