A 2 bedroom apartment sleeping 4-7. Part of one of the oldest buildings in the Chamonix valley (well into it's 4th century) the flat has been sensitively renovated this summer to offer contemporary accommodation while preserving the historical character. It stands in a spacious garden near the Grands Montets lits and 100m from the ski bus stop.
We benefit from more sunshine than almost any other location in the valley receiving many hours on sun light even in mid-winter. All in all we offer a relaxing and comfortable spot for a winter break, facilities for all the family. Safe grounds for the kids to play in, welcoming local bar, private parking and all the world renowned facilities of the Chamonix valley.

"Highly recommended ski accommodation"
It was an absolute pleasure to come back to this apartment in Argentiere after a hard day's skiing. It was bright, airy and with stunning views and toasty-warm of an evening. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the power shower amazing. It had two great, heated racks which got our damp clothes dry really fast. Good wifi connection too. Hosts Ian and Sara are delightful people who know the area inside out and are amazing skiers themselves. I look forward to going back.

"A special place"
We stayed as a group of eight friends, using both apartments which interconnect. Ian and Sara are relaxed, friendly and welcoming. The house is one of the oldest in Argentiere, 5 mins walk to the main lift and makes an excellent change from a chalet or hotel.

We had a great staying with Ian and Sara at their lovely home. They were very welcoming and helpful
Their aparment is in a great location , just 1 min walk to the bus station and a short 5 mins walk from Grand Montets cablecar ,the rooms are spacious . We would love to visit again!

Great location, lovely apartment. Ian and Sara even bought our friends a bottle of champagne when they got engaged on the mountain. Close to both Grand Montets lift and the bus stop, a really good holiday spot.

The property is located in Argentiere just a short walk away from the main high street and being in a quiet residential area was a welcome change from staying in the centre of Chamonix.
What I really liked was that while being in easy walk of places to eat and drink you also had the autonomy of being somewhere that was self-catering. The location was great as it was just a short walk from the Grand Montets lift which is such a good ski area, it is also close to bus stop so getting to other areas isn't a problem. I've only ever stayed in the centre of Chamonix before where you have to get busses everywhere which can get a bit tiring. The apartment was very comfortable and had only very recently been refurbished to a high standard.
The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, both were qualified ski instructors who have lived there for a long time and so were great to talk to about where to ski and how to get the most out of my time there.
The facilities in the apartment were very good, including a washing machine and full cooking facilities, so you could be totally self-sufficient. The apartment can sleep 4 and I would say that for what you get this apartment is great value for money.
In summary, I would definitely recommend this apartment to others, for the quiet location, being within walking distance of the Grand Montets and the great hosts.

"Cosy, tastefully decorated apartment, great views, close to the slopes"
Our young children are just learning to ski so we wanted a self catering family apartment a reasonable distance from the slopes and ski school. We were very pleasantly surprised by a number of things. I thought the quality of the accommodation was great, we thought the place was very modern, very clean, reasonably spacious, very well equipped, very tastefully furnished and toasty warm. This place is upstairs, so it's very light and had beautiful views onto Mont Blanc. It was very quiet and also very well equipped. We decided to self cater this holiday and so cooked most nights. Most of the utensils were new and we basically had all we needed.
We also found that whenever we did have any questions about the local area or had to work out how the cooker worked, if we needed anything at all, our landlords (who lived downstairs so this was very useful to us) were always extremely accommodating. They were always able to find what we needed and we never really wanted for anything throughout the whole trip.
Our ski holidays are very important to us and we are keen for a children to learn to ski. We have small children and we have to get them up and get them out the house to get to ski school in the morning so only being a short drive away was fantastic. We were really pleased to see how close we were to the Grand Montets slopes; it was a three to four minute car ride or five to ten minute journey by bus. The bus stop is a short walk from the chalet. It's also a short walk from the nursery slopes.
You wouldn't think when you come to Chamonix that it could be a place where young children can actually learn to ski, because Chamonix is basically one of the most difficult ski resorts in the country if not the world. But actually we found the quality of the teaching we got here was fantastic, and at the end of what was effectively our second week skiing we had our eldest going down pretty steep red -runs with absolutely no problem at all, and that made it very pleasant for us. Being close to the local shops was also good: a short drive to the local supermarket, a little further to get into Chamonix, but basically getting your essentials was not a big problem after skiing. I would definitely recommend this apartment. We ourselves are planning to come back, we think it's a fantastic area for skiing, we think the ski schools are great and we thought this was fantastic accommodation so we definitely want to come again.

"Fantastic location. The bathroom was amazing."
The location was fantastic - only 100 metres ish to Les Chosalets bus stop and so in a walking distance to Grandes Montet ground station. Argentiere village centre is in a walking distance, too, so it is most convenient, yet the place of the accommodation can't be quieter. There is some parking space just in front of the house, although I didn't use it in fear of my car getting stuck in the snowy access slope from the main road; however it wasn't a problem at all, as I used a very spacious and free public carpark right next to the main road at Les Chosalets, where public snow ploughs make daily (or more?) visits.
The recently refurbished shower in the bathroom was amazing - something you might expect only in luxurious hotels! There are plenty of bed spaces and extra beds. I didn't use the kitchen, so have no comment on it.
The landowners live downstairs, speaking fluent English and French (at least), and were extremely helpful. Overall I enjoyed a very pleasant stay there!

"A beautiful apartment with a wonderful view"
I've stayed at La Lanche in winter and summer many times over the last ten years, and will be going back for many more I have no doubt.
The newly renovated apartment is looking great, and makes an ideal spot for a small group or family to stay. In winter, the short walk across Grands Montets car park provides a gentle warm up for the legs before hitting the slopes. In summer, the river path is an idyllic spot for a walk or bike ride.
Can't wait to go back!

"Comfortable flat in beautiful old farmhouse - and unbeatable skiing"
I stayed in this flat with my two sons, aged 14 and 10. It was a bit of a gamble going so early in the season, but we had huge amounts of snow and a week of superb skiing. The flat was in a lovely old Savoyard farmhouse and had just been immaculately done up with a great shower, modern kitchen etc. while preserving the house's character with exposed beams etc.
Because of the snow the airport shuttle had to drop us on the main road, about a 100 yards from the house, but the owners, Sara and Ian, helped us with our bags. They were very helpful and hospitable, in a laid-back kind of way: nothing was too much trouble. The location was convenient, 5 minutes from the ski bus and about 10 minutes from the Grand Montets lifts. Most days we were able to ski along the road pretty much back to the house though this was probably thanks to an unusually heavy snow.
The nearest shops are a good 10 minutes walk, so it would be good to have your own car if you are planning to cook all meals at home.
We loved this place, the skiing was fabulous - ideal for advanced skiers - and we would thoroughly recommend it. We'll be back!
