Vila 2 is a beautiful, 2 bedroom duplex apartment (plus an additional open mezzanine bedroom) on the top two floors of a traditional Chamonix building. The lower floor comprises an open plan living and dining area with a double sofa-bed, a kitchen, a twin bedroom, a shower room with toilet and a second full bathroom (also with a toilet). The kitchen has just been completely refurbished to create more space and storage, and it has been finished with a custom fitted local stone work surface. On the upper level there is a further twin bedroom and an open mezzanine room (the beds in each bedroom can be pushed together if required to make a double bed). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to make self-catering easy. There is no lift in the building and so a walk up three levels of stairs is required to reach the front door of the apartment.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard with modern furniture and design throughout. There is a TV, DVD player, Playstation, iPod speakers and Wi-Fi access. The apartment has a private cave for ski storage and it is allocated a secure underground parking space - a rarity in such a central location. There are beautiful views from three sides of the apartment including three windows all looking up to Mont Blanc. Tthe apartment has its own washing machine and there is plenty of hanging space to dry items or there is a full self-service launderette near the entrance to the apartment block.

Interaction with guest

Most of the time, we will not be available in Chamonix during the time of the guest's stay. However, Snostation are the company who help us with managing the property when we are not there and they have a permanent office location less than five minutes from the apartment. They can also offer additional holiday services such as organising ski passes, transfers, etc which can help with the ease of planning your trip. They will be in touch with you as part of confirming your booking.

House rules

Children are very welcome (we have 4 aged 3-8), but it comes with a warning of the apartment is on the top floor with no lift. That means three flights of stairs which might not be to all families needs.

Pets are welcome but only by prior notification and for a small additional charge due to the cost of additional cleaning.

No wearing of ski boots or skis in the main part of the building. Skis and poles must be left in the ski cave in the basement.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send James/George (the owner) a message.

If James/George (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
