Home descriptionThe studio apartment is on the top (6th) floor of a recently built chalet-style building (with lift). It is situated mid-way on the road between the 2 main lifts in Les Houches, about 500m from each. A short (off-piste) traverse will take you to the Telecabine de Prarion, and equally you can ski straight back to the building, again off-piste, a rare claim in the Chamonix valley!

As you'd expect, mountain activities are the focus of most people's holidays in this area. However, beautiful old towns like Annecy and Evian provide plenty of alternatives for the less sporty! Chamonix / Les Houches areaThe Chamonix valley is rightly famous world-wide as the home of Alpinism and is a mecca for the keen skier and climber. Having said that there is more than enough for the mere mortal to enjoy, with 5 separate ski areas in the valley, including the legendary 14km descent of the Vallee Blanche. There is a host of other activities available in the area. In the winter, these include snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, paragliding and ice-climbing. In the summer, climbing, walking and cycling take over as the main activities as well as rafting and canyoning, but there is plenty for the less adventurous to enjoy, with a spectacular golf course, tennis courts and plenty of swimming pools to lie by while you catch some Alpine rays! She will be available throughout your stay, should you have any problems with the apartment. On departure, she will again be at the apartment to take the keys back. Rental rates

In addition to the rental fee, a compulsory fee of 30 Euro for cleaning the apartment and 10 Euro per person for laundry is payable on departure In summer, a 'Carte d'Hote' is available on payment of a 'Taxe de Sejour' of 1 Euro per person per night. Please let my representative know on arrival if you would like to obtain this. It gives free travel on buses and trains among other advantages. The preferred method of payment is by bank transfer directly to my account, otherwise a cheque is acceptable. As soon as I have received a copy of the signed contract and 25% deposit, I will confirm the reservation. On arrival, my representative will meet you, and will require a security deposit of 150 Euros before handing over the keys.
