This quaint three bedroom house on 3 floors renovated to a very high standard is situated in the attractive Les Gaillands area of Chamonix, with fantastic views of the Mont Blanc Massif. Modern, bright and newly furnished this lovely house is fully eqipped with all mod cons. There are 2 double bedrooms and a third with bunk beds all of which have Mont Blanc views and two open out onto balconies. The open plan lounge has fantastic views, a wood burning stove, satelitte tv, Wifi and comfortable seating for 6 people. Outside the private garden has a table and chairs for 6 and parking for 2/3 cars. The large french windows open from the lounge directly onto a small decked area to the front facing south for that evening gin and tonic! There is a small bar restaurant 30 meters away, a bus stop and train stop within 75 meters and the Lake and climbing wall at Les Gaillands within just 2 minutes walk. Chamonix centre is just a 20 minute walk away, this is truly an ideal holiday location.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Rhone Alps sit on the Eastern side of France and this area specifically borders Italy, via the famous Mont Blanc tunnel and Switzeland both accessible by car, train or bus within 30 minutes. There are too many places of interest to visit to list just in the immediate area plus, Turin 90 minutes away, Geneva 1 hours drive, Evian, Gruyere, Annecy al within 60mins drive. However, 1 week is not enough to even to get round Chamonix.
Chamonix / Les Gaillands area
The stunning Alpine town of Chamonix is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc with spectacular mountain scenery all year round. It is internationally renound for it's superb ski areas but is also an extremely popular summer resort for walking, climbing, mountain biking, water sports and for those that simply want to soak in the beauty of the surrounding area. There are 5 main cable cars including the highest cable car in Europe, open throughout the summer and from which there are unlimited moutain trails for all levels of walker.
The town centre is alive with many bars, restaurants and outdoor cafe's with unrivalled views of Mont Blanc.
Just 1 hour from Geneva airport and 7 hours drive from Calais, Chamonix is easy to access by road or air travel.
How to get there
Chamonix, is one of the most accessible of the ski/mountain towns in the Alps. Just 1 hours drive from Geneva airport on motorway right to the town or 8 hours drive from Calais again via motorway. Most of the budget airlines fly into Geneva from many of the UK airports and transfers to Chamonix can be easily organised or cars can be rented from all the major car hire companies.
