Haute-Savoie. Regions steeped in history, many-faceted landscapes, a land of adventure, a world blessed by Mother Nature and carefully tended by man. Haute Savoie is one of the most awe inspiring areas of Europe and possibly the World. Deep blue lakes and snow topped mountains. It is the perfect place to breath the mountain air and recharge the batteries after the struggles of everyday life.
Chamonix / Chamonix Town Centre area
Chamonix is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in western Europe and is the home of winter sports, recognised as the capital of mountaineering but equally renowned for it’s climbing routes, adventurous skiing and snow boarding. However the resort truly caters for all , in the winter skiing and snow boarding are the predominate activities providing a mixture of sunny family style slopes whilst also providing challenges for the most experienced off piste adventurer. Chamonix is a thriving cosmopolitan town which still has retained it’s traditional French appeal, a busy Saturday traditional market , bakeries, numerous bars and restaurants. The town centre has a pleasant mixture of old and new buildings with pedestrianised streets offering a wide variety of shopping possibilities and dining opportunities. There is scope for countless activites outside the ski season, from trail running, walking, horse riding, flying and mountain biking to golf. There is also an indoor bowling alley and mini golf and a summer activity park and a luge run.
How to get there
Chamonix is 90km or an easy and scenic 60minutes drive from Geneva Airport on motorways and dual carriageways to within 2km of the centre of Chamonix. Geneva airport is served by most of the major airlines plus budget airlines such as EasyJet, Jet2, Air Lingus, BMI.....

Guestbook for Chalet Apartment 1 Le Krystor
Sorry for the late correspondence but I thought I would contact you to say what a fantastic holiday we all had. Chamonix is a fantastic place and you own a lovely apartment in which must be one of the best locations in town. As you mentioned in earlier correspondence, the town square was both fantastic and crazy at the same time on new years eve. Great skiing as we had good snow. Kind regards Kieron O'Toole.
I am told the snow conditions that prevailed in Chamonix the last week were exceptional and the best conditions for years, this adding to an excellent chalet to stay in made the trip an absolute success with the entire party. The location, one minute’s walk to the high street and all the restaurants was superb. Many thanks for all your help. Best regards Rob Britton
Had a fabulous time thanks - great chalet/apartment and excellent location right in town near the bike shops. Andy Mattocks
I just wanted to say a quick thank you for letting my friends and me stay in your Chalet in Chamonix in the second week of January. We had a great time (despite the absence of any fresh snow!) and really enjoyed the chalet (it was in an ideal location for us). Thanks once again.Adam Orr
Lovely stay thanks, we shot off early as it was snowing and we had a long journey to Champagne. Plenty of room, lovely and warm, great view, handy DVDs and books, everything worked fine. Simon Maddison
