This recently refurbished ground floor apartment has a spacious terrace and spectacular views of Mount Blanc. Situated in "Le Francotel" it is equidistant (10 minutes walk) from the town centre and Les Gailand climbing crag. There is easy access to the main ski lifts and convenient and regular bus service connecting to other ski areas of the Chamonix valley. There is secure underground parking.
The apartment has versatile sleeping for 7(9 at a push!): double bedroom with own sink, bedroom with double bed and over-bunk, and two double sofa beds in living room, with TV, DVD and CD players. There is bathroom, shower room and a well equipped kitchen.

Double doors from the lounge lead out to the spacious terrace and garden area with stunning views of Mt Blanc the Chamonix Aiguilles, Brevant and the Drus. There is a ski locker in a secure corridor on the same level as the apartment. Parking is out on the street or in the secure underground carpark by arrangement.

The Chamonix valley caters for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Beginners can try local pistes, Les Planards, or the Savoy, and also Le Tour and Les Houches. Le Brevent and La Flegere provide intermediate skiing with a diversity of pistes. For advanced skiers the possibilities are endless: the Grands Montets at Argentiere, and many challenging off piste areas, including the Vallee Blanche, one of the highest, longest and best known ski trails in the world.
The Chamonix / Chamonix Town Centre area
Chamonix ,one of the most accessible of the French ski resorts, is an hours drive from Geneva airport. It has impressive mountain scenery dominated by Mt Blanc and is ideal for Skiing, walking, climbing and mountain biking. There is also rafting, tennis and golf right on the door step and a range of modern amenities including a fully equipped sports centre, ice rink, climbing wall, bowling alley, outdoor tennis courts and cinema.

The nearest airport, Geneva is only one hours drive from Chamonix and is motorway/dual carriageway all the way.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The easiest and quickest way toChamonix from Geneva is with via an airport transfer company: www.alpybus.com (from 19.50 - 32.50 euros one way), www.a-t-s.net (50 euros one way per person) or www.chamvan.com (40 euros per person). They offer a minibus service which will meet you from your flight and deliver you to the door.
CAR HIRE
Geneva airport offers a range of car hire companies but it is worth picking one up on the Swiss side to have the motorway pass as it makes the jouney easier.eg. www.carhire 3000
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
You can catch a train or public bus from Geneva to Chamonix but neither are direct services and they can both take over 2 hours.
BY TUNNEL OR FERRY
Chamonix is 600 miles from Calais and can be reached by motorway nearly all the way.

We had a great week thanks, even got a bit of fresh snow and a super lovely, sunny day at Le Tour. The apartment was very well equipped indeed. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen we have had so far and we have rented quite a few ski apartments! Well done on the storage as well, lots of shelves and coat hooks everywhere, really useful.
