Marmotte Mountain Hideaway is a luxury 5 bedroom 5 bathroom chalet located in Argentiere, Chamonix, Mont Blanc, Haute Savoie.

This luxury mountain retreat style accommodation sleeps 10-12 guests & features it's own private outdoor jacuzzi, heated indoor swimming pool & sauna. The chalet has sky tv, 2 log burning stoves and is completely ski in ski out to les Grands Montets ski resort in Argentiere - quite a rare privilege for the Chamonix Valley.

This lovely mountain chalet of charm has a calm location with spectacular views of the surrounding forest & les Grands Montets mountain range. The chalet is open year round for winter ski & snow holiday rentals as well as summer adventure holiday rentals.

During winter, we provide a luxury catered all inclusive package.

For summer rentals, both self-catered & half board holiday packages are available. Summer activities include mountain biking, rock climbing, white water rafting, hiking, golf, canoeing, climbing Mont Blanc.

*Fill out the booking enquiry form on website. Alternatively, phone us or use our callback service.
*We will then inform you of availability and pricing. If you would like to go ahead with the booking we will then email you out a booking form to complete. Your booking will be reserved for an agreed time (normally 48 hours) to allow you to complete the booking form and return it to us, by email or post, accompanied by a 20% deposit of the full holiday price. You may choose to pay either by credit card (via telephone), electronic bank transfer or by cheque. All cheques are made payable to Marmotte Mountain Adventure.
*When your signed booking form and deposit is received by us, we will send you a confirmation of your booking and a receipt for monies received. We will also include a balance of payment invoice letting you know when the full holiday fee is due. Once the booking confirmation has been issued, your contract with Marmotte Mountain Adventure begins.
*If your arrival date for your holiday is less than 10 weeks away, full payment must accompany your signed booking form.
*To avoid disappointment, we advise you book early!

During the winter season, Chamonix offers some of the worlds best skiing terrain - with 90% of the skiing terrain above 2000m's, Chamonix is a very snow sure resort - particularly late in the Spring season.

Driving instructions;

Follow road signs to Chamonix

From Chamonix, continue driving up the valley. You drive past the villages of Le Praz du Chamonix, Les Tines and Le Levancher until you near the village of Argentiere.

Before you reach the village centre of Argentiere and before the turnoff into the car part of les Grands Montets, you will pass a ski shop called Hurricana Sports - turn right into the street on your right after Hurricana Sports, called Hameau des Grands Montets.

Drive along Hameau des 3 Grands Montets and continue along and up around to the left and then you will find chalet Marmotte Mountain Azimuth is situated on your right hand side - number 2004 route d'Argentiere.

The chalet has 2 car places reserved for guests, directly in front of the property.

“A Winter Home from Home” A pleasure start to finish. This must be the easiest way to stretch yourself (on the slopes) and still feel like you have it easy, living in luxury, but feeling like you are in your own home. And Chamonix is party central. Let's face it! The Marmottes (Jon, Sarah, Blake, and co, that's what we called them, and they call themselves) picked 8 of us up from Geneva, cooked & baked for us, pampered us, planned for us, and generally mothered us, (but without the telling off and being sent to bed early part). With all the transport, fantastic meals and drinks included it all worked out great value. Skiing holidays can be pricey. But this is money well spent. We were looked after at home, and it wasn't unusual to find us in the Hot tub before and after being out on the town. Would I go back? Yes, (Third time skiing and this is the best yet). Would my friends go back? Yes, (And it was a mix of first time boarders and experienced skiiers/boarderd). After staying in the Mountain Hideaway I dunno If i could do it any other way. It just wouldn't be as much craic.

“3rd time, food, hosting attention to detail still excellent.” John and his team work hard to accommodate all your needs with friendliness and professionalism. Always ready to help with any extra arrangements, & keen to make your holiday special. The chalets are all well maintianed and spotless. We have stayed in Hideaway and Retreat. Hideway is more contemporary and spacious, all rooms are ensuite. It has a pool and hot tub plus the bonus of ski in ski out. The retreat is a more rustic chalet in the woods, only two of the rooms have ensuite so the 2 others have to share. However, it is a truly charming chalet. The hot tub set in the garden among the trees is wonderful. You can ski back, but need a lift down to the home run in the morning which is sorted by the team so not a problem. I have actually seen all Johns chalets and would be more that happy to recommend any of them.

“Absolute Bliss!” Top service with both Jon and Ollie being very helpful in regards to local activties, and advice. This made things very easy and stressfree! The chalet is great, nestled against the cliff and forest, the surroundings were my favourite, it was very peaceful.

“Wonderful service, Great food and wine, Amazing location, what more could you want!” After having experienced many different chalet companies around the Alps. Jon and his 'marmottes' did a fantastic job at giving us one of the best ski holidays we have been on. The Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was some of the best i've ever tasted. Unlike other companies Marmotte Mountain has a very personal feel and we were treated more like friends than customers to make a buck from! Thankyou Marmottes, we'll certainly be back!!

“Great location by the slopes and highly personal service” We stayed over Christmas in Argentiere and experienced magnificent service over the week. All the people we came into contact with were a delight- it really added to our holiday to have them around. The company (Marmotte Mountain Chalets) organized everything so faultlessly for us (including a number of bespoke requests), we ate amazing meals every night cortesy of our chef and that chalet has a perfect location by the slopes and the Panda club for children.

“Brilliant accommodation, wonderful food, friendly efficient service.” We took full advantage of the area using the transport included in the ski pass. Unfortunately, the snow was not good, so we had a couple of trips into Italy (Courmayeur) and one sight-seeing, spectacular train trip into Switzerland. We would all visit again, but try to be there when the snow conditions might be more reliable. The chalet made the holiday enjoyable, despite the weather. (Age range 40 - 73)

“World Class Experience at Marmotte Mountain” Stayed at Marmotte Mountain in March 2011, in a party of 10 people. From day 1 the experience was breathtaking. Cakes and fresh cookies baked frtesh for our arrival in the beautiful chalet in Argentiere. The chalet itself was outstanding - well decorated and with all mod cons. Right beside the Grands Montets resort. Jon and his staff cannot do enough for their guests and we ate like kings for the whole holiday, dining in the chalet with the culinary talents of the in-house chef. We were brought to and from the ski resorts and Jon knew exactly where to bring us in order to suit the range of proficiency of skiing. All in all, an amazing break and we will be coming again for many years. World Class.
