Home description

Ideally located 300m from the Flegere cable car and 200m from the Chamonix golf club, this luxurious 65m2 apartment is a perfect holiday home in winter and summer.

It was tastefully renovated in 2008 and has a fully equipped kitchen, with a ceramic hob, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine. It comfortably sleeps 4 to 6 people, with 1 double bedroom, a second bedroom with 2 single beds (which can also be combined in one double bed) and a pull-out sofa-bed in the living room.

Parking is free outside the apartment. The bus stop for services to the other ski areas of the Chamonix valley & the town centre is 150m away.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Chamonix sits at the foot of the highest mountain in Europe, in a valley surrounded by the most spectacular and dramatic scenery. Mont Blanc, at a height of 4810 meters, is the third most visited natural site in the world. As one of the most important mountaineering centre, it attracts people all year long with a summer season as busy as the winter.

In the winter, the valley's main ski areas of Grands Montets, Domaine de Balme, Brevent/Flegere and les Houches provide great challenges to experienced skiers whilst the lower areas of la Vormaine, les Planards, les Chosalets and le Savoy are ideal for beginners. The Aiguille du Midi cable offers superb off-piste skiing such as the famous Vallee Blanche and there is unlimited opportunities for some of the best ski touring in the world.

In the summer, the Chamonix area has more than 300 km of hiking trails offering walks adapted to all. It also attracts climbers from all over the world with its diverse mountain routes, prestigious north faces or more accessible rock faces and boulders for amateur climbers and beginners. The valley offers a large number of mountain biking trails for all levels. Le Domaine de Balme has a downhill run exclusively for bikers.


Chamonix / Les Praz area

The small, picturesque village of Les Praz is 2 km away from Chamonix centre. There are several ski rental and sport shops, a small grocery store and several good restaurants and bars within walking distance of the apartment. There is a regular bus service linking Les Praz to Chamonix and the rest of the valley.

Flegere cable car is only 300 m away from the apartment. This area offers some of the best views of the Mont Blanc with its south facing slopes. It is linked to Brevent ski area by a cable car and has a good variety of pistes for all skiing abilities.

The Chamonix golf course is situated in the village of Les Praz opposite the apartment. The clubhouse is 200m away. This superb 18 hole (par 72) golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and has spectacular views of the Mont Blanc Massif & les Aiguilles.

Chamonix is situated about 90 km from Geneva airport, just over an hour drive, access via the Autoroute Blanche (E25-A40). Les Praz is the first village after Chamonix on the main road D1506.

All major car hire companies are available at Geneva airport. If you choose to arrange a transfer, many companies offer airport pick-up/drop off (check www.chamonix.net).

There is also a regular public bus service from Geneva airport to Chamonix train station, the timetable is available at www.sat-montblanc.com.
