Perfect for skiing or summer, our apartment is 5 minutes from the ski lift and has a private residents pool (open mid-June to mid-September) and south facing terrace overlooking Mont Blanc for sunny days!

One third of our guests come and stay again - both in winter and summer.

The apartment sleeps 6-8. We can be flexible with regard to minimum stays and changeover days so please ask!

We have 3 double bedrooms (all with joinable twin beds) a large open plan kitchen and lounge nearly 9m long, small bunk room with two bunk beds, and a bathroom and shower room. We are on the second floor and there is a lift.

There is ski hire shop just below the apartments and plenty of transfer companies which run shared taxis from Geneva airport.

We are located moments from the best Patisserie/Chocolatier in the village for those delicious breakfast morning runs, and right next to some of the best fondue houses and restaurants for the evenings. The cinema and bowling alley are also very close.

There is a 42' plasma screen for lazy days, WI-FI internet access, dishwasher and washer dryer, and ski locker.

Each bedroom has two twin beds which can be pushed together for couples very easily. There are also two bunk beds.

Chamonix is one of the most convenient locations in the Alps, being just a 1-hour drive from Geneva airport. It is also home to some of the finest on and off-piste skiing in Europe, if not the world. Chamonix was the birth place of Alpinism, and skiers and mountain enthusiasts have flocked to this charming French town ever since.

Chamonix Town Centre

Our apartment is in the centre of Chamonix village, just a 5 minute walk to the main lift of Brevant. This gives you access to the Brevant -Flegere ski areas (combined these form the largest ski area in the Chamonix valley). There are a further 3 large ski areas each of which can be reached by the free ski bus in less than 10 minutes (Les Houches, Grand Montets/Argentiere, Le Tour).

"Christmas in Chamonix"

We stayed at Ian Cosier's apartment the week if Christmas 2014 as a group of 7 adults and one 7 year old. There was plenty of room for all of us with 3 twin rooms and one bunk bed curtained off area, 2 bathrooms and 1 spacious living space including kitchen. The living room had a huge corner sofa that took us all and a lovely wood burner that heated the whole place to a treat (wood is available from the numerous local Casino supermarkets). The flat also has all the mod cons - dishwasher (indispensable if no one wants to wash up on hols), a washer/drier, microwave, oven and hobs.

On the second flood with lift access the apartment was immaculate and with the added benefit of wifi.

Ian was a great help before we went, with no questions too many. He advised on airport transfers (we booked a private mini bus from Chamonix First and the service was second to none), ski hire places (we used Intersport, booking and paying online before going) and answered any other queries I had. Helen from the management agency was also really friendly and approachable even answering emails on the Sunday before we were due to arrive!

The flat although not ski up, was ideal for a mix of skiers and non-skiers, it was a very short walk to a bus stop (walk to end of the car park, turn left to main road, turn right and you can't miss it) serviced by a multitude of buses which take you for free to all the different ski lifts. Chamonix is a lovely place full of shops, supermarkets, boulangeries and restaurants all on the door step of the apartment, we did not miss or need our car at all. There is plenty to do for all with swimming pool, ice skating, cinema, train to glacier, easily accessible restaurants on the pistes....

One of my brothers drove and although on the first night couldn't find space in the small car park which belongs to the block of flats, he easily found road parking behind the property which was free.

I wouldn't hesitate to go to Chamonix again and use Ian's apartment. I cannot recommend either Ian and his apartment, Helen the agent or Chamonix enough. There is always the worry when you book things individually but things could not have gone more smoothly.

"Great Location but fairly tired Decor"

We're sorry that this guest was not happy with some aspects of their stay but wonder how much of this was because we did not agree to a large discount that they asked for when booking.

We have always had very positive feedback about the apartment which was redecorated this year. At the beginning of the summer new carpets were fitted throughout, together with new contemporary leather sofas, a Charles Eames armchair, and luxurious alpine cushions in all bedrooms.

None of our guests have to sign a contract when booking. We have only ever asked for two deposit deductions or “fines” in the past 8 years for lamps which guests kindly admitted to having broken.

Finally we live in Chamonix all year round, it is a small mountain town and there is no traffic anywhere at 5am in the morning! The only main road being the other side of the valley (the D1506 to Argentiere).

We work hard to make the Le Beau Site one of the best holiday apartments in Chamonix (we know of no others which have a pool!) and hope future guests will note all the other positive reviews both here and on other holiday rental websites.

"Excellent accommodation close to all amenities"

Well managed accomodation, lots of space, close to the centre of the town with restaurants etc nearby. The rooms were clean and tidy, lots of storeage and kitchen space. Great view from the balcony, and ideally placed for the lift to walking areas.

"Chamonix Always delivers"

Great apartment with the potential to sleep 10. There are 3 separate bedrooms, sleeping 2, a smaller room with 2 bunk beds and a double sofa bed in the living room area.
All mod cons, 2 bathrooms, one with a bath for a long soak after a hard days night !!
Great location in the town, near to shops, restaurants, bars, shops BUT not noisy at all. And a balcony view of Mont Blanc. Great value, great location, Great Stay, GREAT PLACE....Book Now !!!!! comes highly recommended
