Chalet Apartment Chamonix Coeur Des Alpes is located 100metres from the centre of Chamonix within two minutes walk of restaurant's, bakeries, supermarkets, ski and bike hire shops and bars.

Despite this it is set in its own gardens, has private above ground and secure underground parking and enjoys excellent views of both sides of the Chamonix valley from its three balconies.

For skiers the Aiguille De Midi (which accesses the Vallée Blanche) and Brevant lifts are approx 5-10 minutes walk away. We are also two minutes walk from the free ski bus which goes to all the valleys ski areas and three minutes walk from the Mt Blanc Express mountain railway which runs from La Fayet (with connection to Geneve) to Martigny and Verbier in Switzerland.

For the runners it is perfectly located both for the Chamonix Marathon and the UTMB, TDS, CCC being two minutes stroll from the start and finish line. For practise or recreation there are numerous trail within a couple of minutes.

For mountain bikers there is an excellent repair and rental shop virtually across the road and access to the trails is quick and easy.

For climbers, the nearest crag is Gaillands and there is easy rapid access to the high mountain climbs via the local cable cars. (including the start to the one of the Mt Blanc routes.

Equally parapenting is easily accessed whether solo or tandem.

Then there is rafting, golf, a brilliant open air pool, ice rink, bowling alley, and even a alpine roller coaster all within a few minutes travel.

We can arrange door to door airport transfers and ski hire if required.

Chalet Apartment Chamonix Cœur Des Alpes is arranged over three floors.

Ground Floor: A private door leads from the garden into a hallway, off the hallway is a locker, toilet, and Bedrooms One and Two.

Bedroom One has a double or two single beds and an en-suite shower room plus patio doors leading to South facing balcony.

Bedroom Two has a double bed or two single beds and also faces South receiving the morning sun.

Lower Ground Floor has a walk through open plan Bedroom Three with wardrobe and two single beds. This bedroom leads to Bedroom Four with a double bed or two single beds and an extra single bed and to the bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

The Upper level is an open plan kitchen/dining room/living room. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living area has corner sofas and flat screen wall mounted TV with good selection of dvds.

There is highspeed 20M broadband wifi.

The property was newly decorated for winter 2014/15.

The beds will be made to the clients requirements with pressed linen.

Towels can be provided at small extra cost.

Chalet Apartment Chamonix Coeur Des Alpes has a private parking area above ground, plus a secure underground garage storage room and ski locker which are ideal for storage of bikes, skis, pram, golf clubs etc. There is also a drying room.

It is surrounded by gardens and has three balconies accessed by patio doors.

Balcony One leads off a bedroom and gives a view stretching from Les Grands Montets to the Bossons Glacier.

Balcony Two leads off the living room and shares the same view.

Both of the above balconies are in the sun until mid afternoon.

Balcony Three gives a view of the Brevant mountain and cable cars and benefits from the afternoon sun and sunset.

Chalet Apartment Chamonix Coeur Des Alpes is strictly non-smoking, although smokers are very welcome to use the garden and three balconies all with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

For restricted mobility clients there is garden level access and two bedrooms along with wc and ensuite shower on the ground level. Also one of the bedrooms accesses a balcony.

There are however stairs to the living area.

Chamonix Town Centre

Chamonix is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in western Europe and is the home of winter sports, recognised as the capital of mountaineering but equally renowned for it’s climbing routes, adventurous skiing and snow boarding.

However the resort truly caters for all , in the winter skiing and snow boarding are the predominate activities providing a mixture of sunny family style slopes whilst also providing challenges for the most experienced off piste adventurer.

Chamonix is a thriving cosmopolitan town which still has retained it’s traditional French appeal, a busy Saturday traditional market , bakeries, numerous bars and restaurants. The town centre has a pleasant mixture of old and new buildings with pedestrianised streets offering a wide variety of shopping possibilities and dining opportunities.

There is scope for countless activites outside the ski season, from trail running, walking, horse riding, flying and mountain biking to golf. There is also an indoor bowling alley and mini golf plus a summer activity park with rope adventures and a new downhill Alpine Coaster plus a stunning outdoor and indoor pool complex.

"Terrible for families with young children"

Terrible place if you're travelling with young children. The owner was aware we would be travelling with young children but failed to mention the following: the house is on 3 floors with extraord… More

Sadly there is always somebody trying to ruin your reputation and livelihood.

These 'clients' booked one of the peak weeks well in advance but at the very last minute decided to cancel and book alternative accommodation (a last minute bargain late availability via AirBnB).
They called me and threatened to publish a bad Tripadvisor review if I did not refund their pre-paid rent.
In the end they stayed for one night but still went ahead with publishing the bad review. (also it is worth mentioning that they arrived some six hours after the arranged time).

To answer the points in the review:

-The building (including stairs) was built by MGM Constructors, one of the biggest building companies in the area and was built in full compliance with French building regulations. The stairs therefore are normal stairs without any safety issues. Additionally they have child safety gates fitted.
By conincidence we have today just taken a repeat booking for a family with one year old child for the same property. They obviously do not consider there to be any safety issues with the stairs.
Furthermore we own another property which is all on the ground floor. If the clients had mentioned their phobia of stairs when initially booking the other property would have been far more suitable.

-The property was perfectly clean. As we own and check the properties ourselves the quality control is 100%.

-Equally the towels are replaced every season or as necessary and are washed and pressed before use. As this was a January booking they would only have been used two to three times in total.

-Railway. There is a narrow gauge electric mountain railway down the hill below the property. The trains run once every 30min and stop at 9pm. Normally this is considered by clients to be a benefit as the train halt is two minutes walk away and offers a very civilised and efficient alternative to the ski buses.

-No amenities. I am unsure what this means as there is wifi, TV, movie library, dishwasher, plentiful hot water, washing machine, drying room, private secure parking ....

-Tiny living room. As mentioned in the advertising the living room is just under 30sqM. Furthermore it appears even more spacious as it opens onto two balconies and is on the upstairs level with mountain views.

-They claim to have booked a better property a few minutes drive from the town centre. All very well if you have a car and do not mind driving and then fighting for a parking space everytime you need a bottle of milk, bagette or quick apres ski beer. On the other hand it is considerably more relaxing and convenient to have all the town centre amenities on your door step.
I agree the price was probably cheaper if it was a last minute Air BnB booking, but as they say 'you gets what you pay for' and there surely was a very good reason for a property not to be rented on a peak holiday week.

I made arrangements directly with the owner, a like-minded outdoor person, he sorted out a custom date range to accommodate us which was really decent of him, great communications and responsive, He was really flexible and trusting with the money too which was helpful being abroad and only able to take out x amount from the ATM per day,

Nice tidy apartment, we weren't there much really, as we were on the slopes all day and out most nights, its nicely located just around the corner from the shops and town, there's a garden area too which was really nice to chill out on and air of those snowboard boots! it also has a superb views and a couple of balcony's - if you look carefully you'll find lizards also in the rockery in the garden!

It's got everything you need, look no further :) thanks again

I'm still impressed that you snowboarded the Vallee Blanche on an icy late season morning.

"Perfect location in central Chamonix, with private off-street parking and views of Mont-Blanc"

Ideal base for summer or winter holiday. Parking, ski store and balcony. We were a five person party. Chalet sleeps up to 9 (I think) but that would be cosy and dining table only seats 6 (if you want to eat in.) Good facilities including washing machine and a proper bath (as well as separate en-suite shower). TV and DVD - with eclectic selection of DVDs. WiFi. Situated just inside the pedestrian zone, ideal for shops and restuarants and 5 min walk from the Aiguille cable car. Helpful English owner. Would definitely stay again.

"Great Apartment in fantastic location"

Stayed here last week with a group of friends. Nigel made us very welcome even sorting out discounted board hire. Apartment is on main shopping street just down from le Pub.
Beds very comfortable and Apartment is warm. All in all we had a great few days. Would book again if we come back to Chamonix.
