NEW PROPERTY

Apartment Blaitière 14 is a spacious, third floor apartment which blends modern and traditional styles. The accommodation comprises an open plan living area with a sofabed, a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room, 2 flexible (double or twin) bedrooms and a shower room. The open plan living area has a modern, well-equipped kitchen. There is a comfortable seating area with a TV, WIFI and a comfortable dining area.

Natural timber has been used throughout the rooms and the ceilings are beamed creating a lovely feature. Glass doors from the living area give access to a good-sized balcony with mountain views.

There is a separate ski/storage room with boot warmers, and underground parking.

The Blaitière building is superbly located with many of Chamonix's facilities within walking distance. There are three other Mountain Base apartments in the residence, which gives larger groups of up to 26 members an option to be in the same building..

About this location

The Rhône-Alpes region

Blaitière is situated just to the south-east of the town centre, on Chemin de la Cascade, adjacent to the "les Planards" nursery slopes. It is 450 metres on foot to Avenue Michel Croz, the start of the main shopping streets in Chamonix.

The nearest supermarket is Casino in the town centre (650 metres) or Carrefour Market (same distance. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within 200 metres, but the main choices are in the town centre.

For access to the skiing, the nursery slopes of les Planards are a short walk away. For the main ski areas, the nearest is Brévent, just to the north of Chamonix centre, 1500 metres away (3-4 minutes by car or bus). The nearest bus stop is 200 metres away at Gare du Montenvers, with the main train station 450 metres away.

Chamonix Town Centre

Skiing and snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18 km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.

Summer and the rest of the year: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50 m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, jacuzzi, the list goes on.

"Great place with a perfect location"
