Villa Laurech is in a secluded, quiet countryside. Local amenities are located 5 Min away. The surrounding countryside offers lot to discover such as the traditional villages summer fest, the bull races (Bulls are not hurt) and activities such as rafting, horse riding,etc.. Your are also in the middle of South West best spots such as the atlantic beaches at 50 minutes, Basque country at 1 hour and Pyrenees mountains at 1 hour.
Fully renovated, the ground floor is open plan with an extra large living room, a large dining room and fully fitted kitchen. It leads to the south facing terasse with a large heated swimming pool, while on the other side you will enjoy the kitchen terrasse together with the BBQ and Plancha. In the garden you will find shade under the trees, to hang up your hammock, or maybe play petanques game under the platanes trees. Badminton game , bicycles are available.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are large, all with en-suites and king size beds.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region
Landes is known for his endless Atlantic beaches, but yet also comprise a hilly inland portion called Chalosse where Villa laurech is located. Chalosse is at the cross-road between French and Basques cultures. Spain and the Basque country is less than an hour away. Basque and landes beaches are home of world class surfer spots. Biarritz, the St tropez of the atlantic coast, is 50 minutes away.
Winters here are mild, and summer and autumn are warm. Living outside starts in May and ends late October.
Tons of outside activities are available. For the ones looking for some shade, museum, castles, Wine cellars (Bordeaux, Jurancon) will provide an al fresco activity.
The Chalosse / Caupenne area
Located in a small village of the Chalosse, the house is a ideal retreat. Farmers next door will make you discover the delicious home made foie gras.
Bicycles available at the house will allow you to discover the countryside. For a day trip on bicycle, a former rail line has been transformed into a cycle path named la 'voie verte'. Tennis, golf, Canoe, Rafting are available. Hagetmau 20 min away has olympic size swimming pool with water slides and a fully equiped gym. You will find open air markets in Mugron or Montfort (at 10 mins). Restaurants all around.
You can treat yourself to one of the many spa's of Dax (at 20 min) which as been a thermal city since the Romans!. Every weekend from June to September, each village has its own fest. The most famous ones are dax (at 20 min), Hagetmau (20 min) and Bayonne (1h). Everyone dresses in red and white and takes to the streets . Course landaise involving cows and bulls are also hold during summer months

"We had a really lovely holiday at Villa Laurech. We loved the beautiful house and the surrounding countryside. The weather was kind to us too - apart from the first 36 hours!! The boule court was well used as were the bikes and the badminton court. We all used the pool which was a lovely size - good for both the swimmer and the divers in our party! We also much enjoyed our first "Course Landaise" experience which we saw at Montfort Fete. Everyone in the area was so friendly and approachable too. We particularly enjoyed our meals with Sylvia at Testelin" CS. 6/8/2011
I would just like to say that we had a fantastic holiday at Villa Laurech. Everything was perfect, I must admit that when we saw the photographs we thought that it couldn't possibly be so good, but it was everything we hoped for and more. We all had a wonderful week at Villa Laurech and found the house to be even better than the photographs! The only thing we thought would be useful for families visiting, would be to have some plastic cups and a jug to use outside by the pool. A lovely house which we would happily recommend.
