Cha-Am is located about 178 km from Bangkok and 25 km from Hua Hin. It is known for long, sandy stretches of beach and good seafood.
Huahin is a long time resort destination for wealthy Thais and now international tourists looking for a peaceful escape from Bangkok.
It is a clean, pretty and distinguished sea-side area highlighted by the royal palace, Klaikawon, where His Majesty the King resides when away from Bangkok.
The Cha-Am area
On Hat Peuktian, one can find a six meter statue of Phi Seua Samut, the undersea deity from Phra Aphaimani.
Huahin city: 5-star hotels and spas. Famous landmark hotels such as the Sofitel Central Huahin Hotel, world-class spa, Chiva-Som are among the hotels you will recognize.
Golfing is a major draw with several good golf courses nearby (Springfield, Palm Hills).
