"Il Vecchio Leccio" is a country house dating back to the 17th century, carefully restored maintaining the original architectural features. Thanks to a connecting/separating door, the house can be let as a whole unit or divided into 2 separate independent apartments, according to guest’s requests. All around the house, exclusive fenced garden area with facilities and swimming pool.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany is the symbol of the good italian life style, with excellent food and wine production, breathtaking landscapes and picturesque countryside with its typical gentle hills in wineyards and olive groves.
Not to talk about the huge historical and artistical heritage.

Surely Tuscany is worth a visit at least once in your lifetime, and there are so many interesting things to do and see that it is impossible to not come back again! You'll fell Tuscany-sick!

Certaldo area

Certaldo Alto, the red brick medieval part of the village, is full of characteristic shops that sell handicraft and local products, grocery stores, souvenirs and wine stores.
Weekly market with local products on Wednesday in the downtown part of the village, where there are shops, pharmacies, banks, supermarkets, train station and other facilities as recreational or sport ones (Olympic swimming pool, tennis courts, hunting spots, fishing lakes, jogging and mountain bike park).

In mid July the folkloristic festival of popular theatre and street bands takes place in Certaldo Alto.
In October, in Certaldo alto "Boccaccesca", the biological and traditional food and wine fair.
Along the year, there are many other fairs and special markets that we'll be glad to recommend you.

How to get there

Either coming from north or south Italy, follow A1 motorway and exit at "Firenze Certosa" exit, then take the road to Siena (blu signs on the right) and exit at "Poggibonsi Nord" and keep following for Certaldo.
Pisa low costs airport at only 45 minutes from our farmhouse.
Private/hired car recommended (many rental companies by Pisa/Florence airports.

"Il Vecchio Leccio" is a 2 level portion of a farmhouse, independent from ground floor to rooftop, that can be let as a whole unit or separetely into 2 independent apartments. All the house maintains the original features of the tuscan farmhouse, with cotto tiles floors, beamed ceiling, stonewalls. On the ground floor there is 1 double room (king size bed) where an extra single bed can be added, 1 bathroom with shower and bathtub and 1 fully equipped kitchen opening to the garden area by a french window. The kitchen has an extendible table and capacious extractible drawers and can fit all guests dining together. On the first floor 1 double bedroom (king or twin size beds) with en suite bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom for 4 people with 1 king and 1 bunk bed with en suite bathroom with shower, and 1 fully equipped kitchen.
Outside and all around the house, fenced garden area with swimming pool (above ground type), deckchairs, barbecue, tables and chairs to eat outside.
Private parking place always guaranteed.
