From the owner

Brynmor Acres is located near to the beautiful village of Cerne Abbas. The accommodation is a wing of our bungalow and all situated on one level. There is a large double bedroom, A light 'self service' style breakfast will be provided, however for a small extra charge a cooked breakfast may be supplied at weekends should you wish. Please contact us to discuss if your would like to request something else from what we offer - a small supplement may be payable should you require anything other than is provided.

Outside is designated parking and your own garden. Linen and towels are provided and you have your own controls for heating and hot water from the oil fired central heating system. We accept one well behaved dog. There is no smoking on the property. A single foldaway bed can be provided should another bed be needed. There would be a small supplement of 25% of the weekly cost for a third person staying. Free WiFi is available should it be required. A light 'self service' type breakfast will be supplied, but as stated above, if you would like a cooked breakfast at the weekend we will supply this for a small supplementary fee. We source all produce locally if we are not able to supply it ourselves

Brynmor Acres is on our small holding, where not only are you able to see our animals, it is possible to buy our free range chicken and duck eggs (at better than supermarket prices, along with our pork and lamb products - subject to availability)

Cerne Abbas is located about 10 miles from the historic town of Sherborne with its famous abbey and 2 castles - one of which belonged to Sir Walter Raleigh. Numerous films have been shot in and around Sherborne including Goodbye Mr Chips and most recently Thomas Hardy's 'Far from the Madding Crowd'. Just 9 miles from Dorchester - the county town and famous for the author Thomas Hardy, who based many of his books around the area. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just 30 minutes drive away.

Outside of the property is the Wessex Ridgeway, with hundreds of miles of footpaths. It is excellent for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and wild life enthusiasts.

Should you decide that you wish to dine out, there are numerous places locally that cater for all tastes and pockets - if you are lucky you could even be dining with some of the starts of the small and large screen who live close by!

There are numerous things to do and see, whether you wish to walk, see the sights, visit a museum or even try racing a kart!

There is a local shooting club where you could try your eye at clay pigeon shooting just 10 minutes drive away. If you fancy something a little different, why not have pop along and try shooting a few clays for yourself - all necessary equipment is provided.

Also only 10 minutes away is the Clay Pigeon Race Circuit - ideal for the budding Formula 1 driver, or those that wish they had been!

We live in the adjoining part of the bungalow, if there is anything that we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Melanie - Ian (the owner) a message.

If Melanie - Ian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
