2 double bedroom apartment with en suite. English TV. There is a bar and a Catalan style restaurant next door. We are just 15 minutes from the Spanish border, 40 minutes from Roses & Anpuria Brava. Perpignan is 20km away. The Mediterranean beaches are within 45 minutes. The owners are on site should you need any information.

The apartment is on the second floor of this ex hotel and offers a great vantage point for visits to a wide range of places. We are surrounded by mountains and great vineyards for sampling the local wines. The famous modern art museum in Ceret (10 minutes) where Picasso lived and painted makes a great visit. Just across the border in Figeros, there is the bizarre Dali museum.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

We are surrounded by mountains for walking and biking. Wine tours are also available and very popular.

The region is ideal as it offers 300 hours of sunshine per year.

Local villages have markets which are great for fresh ingredients.

There are also plenty of beach resorts easily accessible and where boats can be hired for fishing, and visits down the coast and into Spain are at a very convenient distance.

Ceret / Maureillas area

There are many golf courses here in the region and over the border in Spain. There are 2 sets of clubs available at the property for clients to use. There are too many restaurants to mention and there is always a festival somewhere.

For the keen fisherman, sea and lake fishing can be arranged. Also, a casino is just down the road (1km).

How to get there

Autoroute A9, last exit in France before Spain, in a town called 'La Boulou'. From there, follow signs for La Perthus. After Casino on the left, take first road turning right and marked Ceret. We are on the right side of the turn.

From Girona airport (RyanAir), head for France and leave the Autoroute at 'La Boulou' and follow the above instructions.

From Perpignan airport (RyanAir), join the Autoroute near the airport and make for 'La Boulou'. In 'La Boulou', follow the A9 for Spain. After leaving town, you will come to a bridge over the river, then to a roundabout with a casino on your left after 1km, we are on the next turning right.
