"Perfect accommodation minutes from the centre of York"
Stayed with my Fiancee for 5 nights, the accommodation is just as described, with wonderful balcony overlooking the river Foss with views across to Minster. Met on arrival and shown around the flat, easy access via lift. There are some wonderful restaurants on Fossgate / Walmgate just around the corner

"Too good to be true, but it was!"
We stayed in this posh and comfy apartment for a whole week plus. I didn't want to leave! The location is unbelievably convenient to everything inside the city wall, and right next to a bus terminus for anything you need that is outside. With two grocery stores within sight, the option to cook for yourself is easy (though you won't want to miss the fabulous restaurants in York entirely). We managed a big, wonderful, family Easter Dinner with supplies from the nearby open air market, Marks & Spencer, and the two-skips-out-the-door Tesco. The hosts and staff were warm, welcoming, and responsive. I cannot imagine a better place to stay for a trip to York!

"Stunning flat in convenient location"
The flat is modern, stylish and well presented. The kitchen has all utensils and homeware required for a self-catered break. Convenient location for restaurants, pubs and bars. Balcony with lovely view over the river. Thoughtful touches such as visitors book with recommendations of local sites and shops to visit.

"Smart and comfortable flat in a great location"
My husband and I and our three-year-old spent a lovely few days in this flat right in the centre of York. It's beautifully decorated and has everything a guest could need. In spite of the flat's central location, we heard no noise at night and we enjoyed a great view of the Merchant Adventurers' Hall and the River Foss. At a different time of year it would have been lovely to sit on the balcony. It was nice to be met by the housekeeper when we first arrived, and the gift of bread and jam from a local deli made us feel especially welcome. Having to keep our car on the nearby Castle car park was not a problem, as a permit is provided and, since York is a compact city, best explored on foot, we just left it in the same spot for the duration of our stay. All in all, this flat was a great combination of luxurious and child-friendly, so should suit anyone. We definitely hope to return!

My husband and I spent a long weekend at 8 Merchants place, the apartment is in a great location over looking the river Foss, and right near an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, the main shopping centre and tourist attractions. The apartment is of a very high standard and beautifully presented throughout, although we had seen photos we were still wowed when we entered the apartment. we have stayed in York a couple of times before and stayed at high end Hotels but have to say staying in the apartment was far better as it was hotel quality but made for a much more relaxing break as no pressure to get up and ready for breakfast, so we were able to move at our own pace. We will defiantly be going back.

"Beautiful apartment in a beautiful city"
I stayed at this apartment for the weekend to visit the Christmas markets. With this being my first visit to York I found the apartment centrally located, easy to find, a great base to explore from and easy to find our way back! Very clean, welcoming and comfortable accommodation with comprehensive guides to the city for visiting folk with regards to dining and shopping. A personal touch of milk in the fridge upon arrival (very appreciated). Would definitely without hesitation recommend this apartment to others and already planning our next trip

"Stunning apartment in a great location"
Decorated to such a high spec and right in the centre of town, you won't regret staying here. It has all the comforts you would need, they even provide towels and hand soap, as well as a fresh pint of milk for that well-needed first cuppa when you get off the train! There is underfloor heating, blankets for snuggling, really comfy beds, a power shower, in fact everything we needed was there - even a clothes airer to dry our towels on. The view from the balcony is just lovely and I can imagine it is even more stunning during the summer months. We stayed here on a girls weekend and found the apartment to be a great location to get to the many wonderful bars and restaurants the city offers. Within the apartment you'll find a leaflet for Spring, a coffee shop right around the corner which is AMAZING - you must try the blueberry brioche! They even offer a discount for staying at the apartment. If you are looking for a place to stay in York I couldn't recommend this highly enough.

"Beautifully modern apartment in perfect location"
Having never visited York this beautifully modern apartment was the perfect location from which to explore the city. The apartment was well equipped to meet our needs and provided all the home comforts required for our stay from a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds and modern bathroom. Stunning views across the canal to the Merchants Adventurers Hall with the cathedral peeping through in the foreground. The apartment is a very short walk to the main shopping area and the Shambles providing the ability to easily pop back with shopping bags or to take a break. There are plenty of lovely cafés and restaurants to chose from and a Tesco Express all within close proximity. Thank you for making my first visit to York a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The apartment was perfect and I will definitely be back!!!

"Excellent Central Apartment"
Modern, clean apartment in the centre of York City. The Cathedral, museum, shops, restaurants & cafés are all within walking distance so it’s the perfect place to explore. The apartment comes with a parking permit and there is a local car park just minutes’ walk away. Spacious open planned living with a fully equipped kitchen really is a home from home, we ate at the apartment on a few occasions and were never without the tools we needed to cook a full meal. The lounge has two seated sofa's, TV and Blue ray player with WIFI. The apartment has underfloor heating and a balcony with beautiful views of the river. The bathroom has a shower over bath, towel heater and towels. Two double bedrooms, one with views of the river, both have fitted wardrobes for lots of storage space. Despite being an apartment I found it to be very quiet and was never disturbed by noise from the neighbours. Highly recommended for a visit to York, it’s a beautiful apartment and we will definitely be back.

"Fantastic apartment - top location - cosy, comfy and clean"
The apartment is in the best location right in the heart of the city, but with green leafy views over a medieval house and river. The beds are comfy with lovely white linen, new towels, modern bathroom with a good shower, and a cosy sitting area for the evenings. Booking and check in were friendly and efficient, and we were left a little bundle of gourmet bread and jams as a treat. We stayed with two children (8&9) and there are endless thing to do with the museums, boat trips, railway museum etc. The apartment is central so you can easily pop back between things too. A parking permit is provided so it's very easy to unload and dump the car. Great city runs (if it's your thing) - round the old town or along river paths. Thoroughly recommended.
