The Yorkshire region
Yorkshire is big and beautiful country. It reaches into no less than three National Parks - the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the Peak District. It also includes the majestic moorland of Bronte Country and the tranquil beauty of the Howardian Hills and the Yorkshire Wolds. Our spectacular coastline is among the finest in Britain, much of it protected as Heritage Coast.
Wander the streets of ancient York. Cruise a trans-Pennine canal. Ride the legendary Settle-Carlisle Railway and cross the mighty Humber on the world's longest single span suspension bridge. Even follow in the footsteps of Captain Cook and Dracula.
Go down a real coal mine. Or ride a time car back to the world of the Vikings. Read the television news in the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. Nosedive down the world's largest roller coaster. Explore the world's oceans at The Deep. Make scientific discoveries at Magna.
Shop in one of Europe's largest malls. Sample northern ale straight from the brewery. Tuck into Yorkshire pudding and the world's most famous fish and chips. Take to the hills on Britain's toughest long-distance footpath. Or take to the turf at one of our premier courses.
It's no surprise that Yorkshire is proud of its past and a sense of history is never far away. Castles, abbeys and stately homes weave their rich and evocative story and in contrast, our powerful industrial heritage is vividly created in some of Britain's most exciting museums.
Find out what makes Yorkshire the nation's film and TV set. From 'Brideshead Revisited' to TV favourites like 'Emmerdale', 'Heartbeat', 'Last of the Summer Wine' and 'All Creatures Great and Small'.
Heritage and countryside, leisure and sport, great times out and family fun. Something different every day in Yorkshire.
The apartments are both situated within a 10 minute walk from the centre of the city of York with its many award-winning attractions, events, shops, resturants and history oozing from the buildings and streets: The Minister, The Shambles, Clifford Tower, The Jorvic Centre, The National Railway Museum, The City Sight Tour, The River Tour, The Viking festival, Music festivals, the Christmas Markets, The Race Meetings ...to name a few!
York is host to a great variety of shops and restaurants from the unique and unusual 'tucked' away ones to the familiar high street names. For all your self-catering needs two supermarkets are 5 minutes away and there is a large Marks and Spencers close by. There are a number of shopping centres around York, including a great designer outlet village to pick up a bargain!
York's entertainment caters for all and including everything expected of a thriving city - Theatres, Cinemas, Swimming Pools, Parks, Children's Soft Play areas , even a go kart track!

"Well equipped, spacious and contemporary in a very convenient location."
Second visit to this apartment and would not now consider booking a hotel. 5 mins walk to City Walls and further few mins to city centre - marvellous location. Small Asda just across the road proves extremely handy. Apartment is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and attractive. All appliances worked well including the heating and hot water. Booking is easy on a good website. All arrangements for arrival worked like clockwork and the housekeeper who met us to show us round was very pleasant and helpful.

"Great place to stay,"
We loved the flat, it had all you could need, lovely walk into York. There is so much to see and do, and it was great to have a really good place to come back to. Only down side the bed was not very comfortable but that is down to taste. On the whole the flat was spotless the only place needing attention was the tiles in the shower, they needed sorting out, but on the whole we had a great time and would like to return.

"York City break"
We enjoyed a lovely couple of days in York. The apartment was great, a really nice space to relax after a long day sightseeing. Very clean, well equipped and much nicer than a cramped hotel room, even for a couple of days. Thoroughly recommend the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Centre in York. The children also really enjoyed walking the walls. Spent a lot of time in Betty's which is quite an institution.

"Home from Home"
HI we stayed here for a weekend and the apartment was clean, plenty room for 4 of us and walking distance into York City Centre, would happily stay here again.

"Very Comfortable Apartment"
Stayed for 2 nights for Music Showcase weekend at York Races. Apartment was very comfortable and whilst it was very hot outside for the whole weekend, we were able to maintain a cool temperature inside by opening windows. The apartment is light and airy and has all the equipment needed for a short break, and rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space in both bedrooms.
It is a short stroll into the city centre - with two options - either straight to Parliament Street or to Monkgate - both take about the same time to walk - around 5 minutes. Morrisons and Waitrose very close and with a small Asda supermarket just acros the road it is ideally situated to pick up the essentials if you want to eat in the apartment..
It is a second floor apartment with views of the Minster and even though there is no lift, the stairs are very easy to manage. Although there was some traffic noise it was not intrusive, as we have found in some other apartments in the city centre and that was with windows wide open!
I would have no hesitation in booking again and would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to the city centre in a reaonably priced apartment. I agree with another reviewer - much better than staying in a hotel.

"Very clean apartment, very well located"
Absolutely everything we needed in terms of location and facilities. Welcomed on arrival and late check out much appreciated. Our only issue was the shower height didn't adjust which for 3 of the party at 5ft 9 each made for a lot of crouching!

"Just what we were after"
Great location, very clean, spacious, well equipped apartment. Easy walk into centre, supermarkets nearby. One allocated parking space within the complex. Extra parking outside wasn't easy but not impossible, we managed it for the whole weekend. Good service by the owners too.

"Very relaxing weekend break - much better than a hotel"
Very nice apartment, in a great location. 10 mins walk from attractions and good dining. Small Asda across the road to buy food and toiletries. Has private parking at back of complex. Be warned, this is a 2nd floor apartment so a few flight of stairs to haul heavy luggage. The young man who welcomed us with the key was very nice and offered to help with luggage. Thank you. The directions to the apartment sent by the owners were spot on, thank goodness as the sat nav sent us past the building!

"Close to town - nice short break"
This is just what we were looking for for my family (two under 7) to stay in for a short break (3 nights) over the half term week. A few minutes walk from the walls, close to the supermarkets for our essential shopping; a good base from which to explore York.
