Walk out of the complex gates and within minutes you are on the river banks of the Ouse with a view of the famous King Arms pub just a few metres away on the opposite bank. Within a few minutes you are in the City centre shopping and entertainment area with its famous narrow cobbled streets, boutique shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and a vibrant vibe at nightfall. You won't have far to walk after a day's shopping or a nights indulgence to return to the house. No need for taxis when staying at this property and the car can take a break for the duration of your stay as all of central York's historic buildings and many attractions are within 10 minutes walk.

If food is your thing, a night in, or a night out couldn't be more convenient, at the bottom of the street a fabulous Indian take-away (or eat in) is available and there are a multitude of other choices within the vicinity, as well as a shop to buy wine, ingredients or treats. If you prefer to dine out, less than two minutes walk will allow you a choice from restaurants such as Picalinos, The Living Rooms, Red Chilli Chinese, Akbars and Thida Thai. A few minutes more and your choice widens to encompass every style, cuisine and budget.

"fun for all the family"

An excellent house well fitted for all the family, located in a queit location but central enough to be convenient for all York has to offer also close to transport links(rail&bus)for travel to the wide ranging coutryside.

"Excellent house in an excellent location"

This is a lovely house just 5 minutes from everything York has to offer. it is quiet and offers every amenity you could need. My wife and 3 kids stayed here and tumbled out of the door every morning to walk around the sights of York. There is no need to use your car when here at all. The owner is very helpful. For a city centre stay this was perfect.

"Marvellous property convenient to central York ."

The property was spotless and well equipped. Trudi has thought of everything! The welcome pack was ideal- milk OJ water and wine! The house is situated in a quiet area but within 10 mins you are in the hustle and bustle of York and all the glorious sights.

"Affordable option for family holiday"

The townhouse was clean and well kept, and the bonus 1/2 bath downstairs was great for my family of four. Having just arrived in the UK from the US, it was nice to have the third bedroom so the kids could have some space. The townhouse is centrally located, a short walk to most major attractions and lots of food options within 10 minutes. Trudi was pleasant to work with during the booking process, and when we had a small issue while we were there, she was prompt to return my call. My only criticism would be that wifi would have been greatly appreciated as it was difficult to do some of the travel planning once we were there without it. We had to find a Starbucks in the city center to log onto the internet from, and its internet was slow and weak. But if wifi isn't a big deal to you, its a great sized place comparatively for a really great price, and I think you will not be disappointed!

"Fantastic Location, Fantastic house"

Superbly located for getting in and around York, just a few minutes walk. Lovely house, well equipped with everything you need and very stylish, clean and homely. Loved the ceiling fans, they were a welcome relief in the early evening where we'd had a hot day!! Great having a parking space right outside and loved the fact it was so bright inside the house. Will be recommending to all my friends and family and would definitely come back to stay again... the owners made the whole transaction very easy and friendly.

"Great location"

House clean, comfy beds, all you needed for a good weekend. It was a cold weekend and the heating warmed the house well. Great location no need for the car couple of minutes walk into the centre of town even with my elderly mum. Welcome back was a nice touch.

"Amazing House, Excellent Location"

I stayed here for a week with my husband, 2 children who are in their 20's & my elderly mum who is not so good at walking. The house was modern,warm & very comfortable with lots of space, it was also spotlessly clean. All 3 bedrooms were of good size & the extra toilet downstairs was perfect for my mum & she had no problem using the stairs up to the bedrooms. The entrance has a small hallway which was ideal for keeping the wheelchair there (this was hired from the Motability shop in Coppergate York). When we arrived, their was milk, bottled water, Orange juice & a bottle of wine in the fridge also tea & coffee which we thought was a very nice gesture. The house is situated in a prime location with a parking spot & is just a 5 minute walk from the main shopping area in York. Hopefully we will be returning in the future.

"Luxury and Convenience - all in one package!"

Leave the car at home is our suggestion! Not that there isn't a car parking space - because there is ... immediately outside the front door! But here at Trudi & Dave's luxury two-bedroom home, you are just so close to all the action of York that you don't need a car! This is our second stay in one of Trudi and Dave's properties, and on each occasion, we've not been disappointed. From the moment of first enquiry, through the courteous meet-and-greet and the "nothing-is-too-much-trouble" approach, we have been well-served each and every time we stay in York! It's a long way from Australia, but for our annual holidays in the UK - by the time we arrive in York, we always know we've made the right decision to stay here! There is always a 'fridge full of the essential supplies, the towels are luxurious, the bedding perfect and frankly, there's nothing more you could possibly want - everything has been thoughtfully done, so you can just relax and enjoy. It is without hesitation that we warmly recommend Trudi & Dave's property - it's first class all the way!
