Situated adjacent to York City Walls and the Museum Gardens, No. 4 Galmanhoe Mews is a newly built townhouse with living space across three floors and the very latest high quality fixtures and eco-technology, all beautifully appointed and furnished in a contemporary style to offer luxury living.

Delux specification includes floors in oak and travertine, Villeroy & Boch/Hansgrohe sanitaryware, high gloss kitchen with granite worktops and Bosch induction hob, multifunction/microwave ovens, multi-zone under floor heating to ground floor and bathrooms, gas fired central heating on upper floors supplemented by solar power.

The central yet secluded location, off Marygate, just a few minutes walk to the River Ouse or along to High Petergate and the Minster, means that the City's tourist attractions are within easy reach on foot. After spending a busy day sightseeing or shopping, enjoy a relaxing drink outside (weather permitting) in the south facing enclosed patio garden before visiting one of York's many varied restaurants. Alternatively, if you wish to self-cater there is a fully integrated large dining/kitchen equipped to a very high standard plus a well stocked convenience food store around the corner in Bootham and interesting specialist delicatessens a little further away in Gillygate.

A night out at the Theatre Royal in St. Leonard's Place is only minutes away, but if you prefer a cosy night in, the living room is equipped with a 42” flat screen TV, Blue-ray DVD player as well as a few books and board games. Wifi facility available.

There are 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 people, comprising a master room with double bed and en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms each with double bed and a study/bedroom with a single bed. Alternatively, it would suit 4 single people sleeping separately. The bed linen and towels provided are of luxury quality and all duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic. "Perfect location amazing house"

"Lovely holiday house in a great location"

This house had plenty of room for our party (5 adults, two kids and a baby) but was so close to central York that we didn't have to walk far to reach the various tourist destinations, which was great for our children (aged 6 and 3). The property was very clean and decorated to a high standard. It was warm and welcoming. The garden is small, but still enough space for the kids to run around a bit to let off steam.

Attractive property, modern but homely. High specification fixtures and fittings. Fantastic location for walking to all York's attractions. Great communication and information from housekeeper, along with high standard of cleanliness.

"Excellent accommodation in a quiet location with easy access to the city centre."

Very high standard with quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely touches such as the bathrobes and quality toiletries. Despite being close to the city centre it was very quiet. No more than 5 minutes walk to the city centre - either direct or via the Museum Gardens or alongside the river. Nice courtyard garden which I'm sure would be put to good use in summer - rather too wet and cold in November! Only downside - watch your head on the cooker hood - if you do any cooking you WILL bang your head on it!!

"Brilliant location and marvelous home."

This home is a perfect location to explore York and the surrounding area. It is modern, spacious and we loved the back patio to unwind after a day of traveling or sight seeing. We were there as a couple with our adult children and partners. This space was perfect. Sarah and Bev we completely helpful as we asked questions about parking, amenities and issues before we arrived.

"Superb well-located house"

Brilliant location close to the river and Museum Gardens, and a five minute walk into the centre of York. The house was beautifully appointed and was spotlessly clean - very comfortable and pleasant.

"Absolutely excellent property in all aspects."

I stayed at this property with 5 relatives and friends. The home owner was excellent providing clear and prompt booking information. A first class luxury welcome hamper was a lovely surprise when we arrived. The location of the property was superb and just a few minutes walk from the City wall with a fantastic array of shops, bars and restaurants. The home was exactly as described - modern, exceptionally clean and had everything we needed and more - even bath robes for everyone. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and will certainly be staying there again.

"The perfect home from home"

This is a brand new townhouse, perfectly located in one of the nicest parts of York, near to the centre, river and gardens, but tucked away in a quiet cul de sac. It is bright and stylishly furnished, and very well equipped, with lots of thoughtful little touches. Good quality linen and towels. We were visiting my son who is studying at the university,and it was so nice to have the space to relax together as a family, rather than just a hotel room. Highly recommended , in fact we've already booked our second visit.

"Fantastic House and close to York centre"

The house is beautiful and a credit to the owners, no expense has been spared and everything has been planned with great care. If we stay in York again we would certainly have no hesitation in booking this property. The great thing is you can park your car and not use it at all as the centre of York is a stroll away! It's a lovely place to just sit and relax with a book and a glass of wine. Lastly the welcome hamper was fantastic with good quality products and a chilled bottle of fizz which went down very well!!!!
