The Holiday Park is located 6 miles from York city centre in Sutton-on-the-Forest, The park entrance is where you will find the reception office & shop.
For a more substantial range of groceries and other items, Clifton Moor Retail Park is a typical 'out of town' retail outlet located only 3 miles away towards York and it consists of a Tesco Extra, other typical major retail stores, a cinema, bowling alley & restaurants.
Historic York offers an abundance of places to visit, such as The National Railway Museum pictured below, the York Castle Museum, the Yorkshire Museum, the Yorvik Viking Centre, The Yorkshire Air Museum (at Elvington), the well-preserved historic York's city walls, Clifford's Tower, the 'Shambles', York Minster, or go for a cruise on the river Ouse!
The surrounding countryside is full of ruined castles such as Scarborough Castle, Pickering Castle, Sheriff Hutton Castle, stately homes such as Beningbrough Hall, Sutton Park, Helmsley Castle, Castle Howard and as well as ruined abbeys such as Whitby Abbey, Kirkham Priory, Byland Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey.

Since your stay we have upgraded the bedding in the accommodation to luxury Dorma indulgence & changed the colour scheme throughout from blue to plum just to keep things fresh for our returning guests.

However we promptly purchased one for you anyway.
I am sorry you experienced problems with the internet but can assure you that this is not something that we have experienced before.
