This spacious property is one of Whitby's oldest. It is on the desirable East Side close to the famous 199 steps that lead to Whitby Abbey and has superb views out to sea and of the harbour from many of its windows. It also boasts a small decked area close to the beach, down a set of steep steps. This dog friendly property is one of the largest Whitby holiday cottages with a sea view.

You can walk straight out onto the wonderful cobbled streets and within minutes find yourself immersed in the history of the town, in a great restaurant or perhaps one of the many local shops.

The accommodation comprises a kitchen/dining room and a large sitting room with views across the harbour. There are four bedrooms: two on the first floor (a double with an en-suite bathroom and a twin) together with a house bathroom with a separate shower facility and two on the second floor (one twin and one with bunk beds) and a further shower room. This cottage has the benefit of free Wi-Fi access.

A narrow steep alleyway to the side of the property leads down to a small beach level, private decked area with seating and a barbecue.

A fantastic choice for a holiday cottage in Whitby. The nearest shops and popular sights such as Whitby Abbey, The Captain Cook Memorial Museum and Whitby Art Gallery & Museum are all a short walk from Henrietta Street.

Travelling to and from Whitby is made easy with the train station being only a 10 minute walk away. Alternatively, if travelling by car, there is a public car park approximately 15 minutes' walk away. Whitby is served by Durham Tees Valley Airport located 46 miles away so please allow 1 hr 15 minute travel time for this journey.

The property is located above another of our properties - Kipper Cottage. In booking both properties it is possible to accommodate a larger group of up to 15 people.

We offer minimum 3 night breaks outside the summer period and minimum 7 night breaks from the last week in July to the end of August.

"Not as described"

This property was described as a five star rated property but it was not as described. Stained carpets, shady furniture, poor decor and in need of good deep clean. Felt deceived by the descriptions … More

This visitor was disappointed that the garden attached to the property was not for the use of this property. The property has recently been refurbished and we are sad to say that this comment is made in malice rather than based on any factual assessment. They never called to discuss any problems with furnishings at all.
