One of the largest counties, Yorkshire is proudly independent. From modern cities such as Leeds and Sheffield to the historic centre of York, Yorkshire offers so much to tourists. There are seaside resorts such as Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and excellent hiking on the Yorkshire Moors.
Whitby is an ancient fishing port still having maritime connections and a working harbour. Yorkshire has more than its share of historic sites and you're guaranteed a friendly welcome.

"Old world charm, with all mod cons"
Lovely cottage, comfortable and right on harbour! Local amenities on doorstep, with lovely gift/craft shops and many places to eat in/out.
We're right in the very heart of Whitby. Once you've parked your car you hardly need to walk to getto anywhere in the 'old town' as we're already situated there.
Thank you for your positive review.

"Comfortable, clean and well-equipped!"
We booked three nights with friends and found Awd Tuts cottage to be just what we were looking for. The owner furnished us with explicit information prior to our arrival and had prepared a visitors' manual which was exceedingly helpful. The booking process was extremely easy as was entry to the cottage on our arrival.
Thanks for a nice review. We try to make sure you have all the information on hand to enjoy your stay.

"Awt Tuts - A Charming Whitby Holiday Cottage"
A charming little hidden cottage halfway down one of the many narrow alleys in the centre of the delightful town of Whitby. A few yards each way and you are either on the waters edge by a small beach in the harbour or in the hustle and bustle of the popular cobbled area of Church Street. A lovely and picturesque part of town with an array of various small shops, pubs and eateries leading up to Whitby Abbey and it's infamous 199 steps. The location couldn't be better and the cottage is cosy and ideal for a small group or family.
We did find a couple of items not working which we reported to the owner - we met him on our departure as he arrived to do some renovation work in the cottage, so was able to rectify the faults at the same time. A very nice man - he even gave us a lift to the car with our luggage which saved us some time and hassle! Would definitely consider booking in the future and recommending to friends.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. We don't often meet all of our guests and so on this occasion it was nice to meet you all. Hope to see you again some time. Many regards, Mike.

"Great place, great location"
We booked 'auld tuts' for a 4 day break and were very pleased with the cottage and the price and the location. It's only yards away from the abbey steps and centrally located to enjoy the delights of whitby. There are plenty of places to eat (humble pie and the magpie are a must) and plenty of things to do both within whitby and the surrounding area ( even in march). Would definitely book again. On the down side, there is a bit of noise on a night from the sailing club opposite, but did'nt effect us at all. All in all a great little cottage a fantastic location and whitby is an outstanding tourist area.
Thanks for booking with Awd Tuts. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. There's always plenty to do in Whitby and there's always a never ending programme of events throughout the year.
