Paris is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains which account for much of its cloudy but mild weather. But it can be very sunny, and on those days, it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Cloudy or sunny, there are so many fascinating things to do and to see that you'll hardly notice the weather. This is especially true of the St Germain des Près neighborhood.
Rent a bicycle and discover paris by "vélo", not forgetting the romantic "Bateaux Mouches" romantically cruising the Seine at night.

Central Paris has all the excitement of a vibrant and animated large city, but with the charm and beauty that only Paris can claim.
St Germain dès Près is a nostalgic mélange of students matriculating at the Sorbonne, and old Paris where French, American, and other cultures hobnobbed at cafés to share their ideas and artistic endeavors. The only bedroom has a double bed. It is is located on the quiet and reposing courtyard side of the residence.
The large kitchen with breakfast area dining, is fully equipped for those romantic evenings of cooking and dining in.
There is a separate dining room too--comfortably seating four-- for uncluttered dining pleasure.
Office work spaces are found in the bedroom and in the kitchen.
The residence accommodates one to two persons maximum.

Further details outdoors: A walking tour of the historic 6th arrondissement where the apt is located will reveal many of the small and narrow streets, ladened with old and prestigious fabric and décor shops as well as newer upscaled designer clothing boutiques. There are hidden passage ways, and charming places and spaces where afternoon tea may be enjoyed.
The residence is situated between the churches St Germain dés Près and Saint Sulpice and not far from the Notre Dame, all of which are open to visitors daily.

Guestbook for St Germain dès Prés
We were very pleasantly surprised to discover a GEM: a clean, light filled, beautiful apartment in a 17th c. building with everything we needed for our holiday, as if it were home. Having afternoon tea in the salon was a delight as was resting peacefully during the night in the bedroom on the quiet court yard side of the apt. Yet we found the area both vibrant, exciting, and intellectual, with every service and entertainment we desired in our neighborhood, within walking distance - A real find. G. Smith, August 2009
