See and Be Seen: Leisurely spend the afternoon people watching while having a coffee, tea, or a tall glass of cold beer at the Café de Flore, the Deux Magots, or the Café Louise located on Blvd St Germain at the end of the apartment's tiny street made famous by the many writers and artists who frequented the restaurants, shops, and galleries, or who lived there.
CULTURAL GEM: Tired of seeing and being seen? Take a walk to the Musée D'Orsay. Apartment has a separate salon / library for tea, aperitif, or relaxing after a day's work or adventures. From the salon there is a street view on pretty boutiques and the building where Victor Hugo once lived.
The only bedroom (located just next to the full bathroom) has a double bed. It is situated on the quiet courtyard side of the residence. There is ample closet space and a desk for writing.
The large kitchen with breakfast nook has everything you need for those romantic evenings of cooking and dining in. It also includes a desk for planning your meals, work, or escapades.
Dine away from the clutter of it all in a peaceful, separate dining room with comfortable seating for 4.
Additional closet/storage space is located in the hall entrance and dining room.

A walking tour of the historic 6th arrondissement where the apt is located will reveal many of the small and narrow streets, ladened with old and prestigious fabric and decorator shops as well as high-end designer boutiques for clothing and shoes. There are hidden passage ways, and charming places and spaces where afternoon tea may be enjoyed.
For those who prefer touring by bicycle, just around the corner from the apartment in either direction, one finds a battery of bicycles which may be rented using VISA bank card. Bikes may be rented and returned all over the city.
The apartment is situated between the St Germain dés Près and Saint Sulpice churches and not far from the Notre Dame, all of which are open to visitors daily.

"A lovely oasis in a fabulous location"
This clean, well equipped apartment looks out onto a charming one-way street that is home to several terrific bistros, a bakery and several little shops. Just a block away, Blvd. St. Germain offers world class shopping, famous sidewalk cafés and terrific people watching. The Louvre and all of the right bank tourist destinations are walking distance, but you will have the luxury of returning to your left bank home to relax at the end of the day.
The apartment itself is very spacious for a one bedroom. Gleaming hardwood floors, high ceilings, and tasteful decoration create a sense of cosy luxury. The kitchen is large by Paris standards. We stayed for 7 weeks, so made use of all appliances, and found them to be in good working order. The bedroom is on the courtyard side of the building (as opposed to street side) so very quiet for sleeping.
This apartment is very close to several metro stations with easy connections to the various rail services, so very convenient if you plan to venture a little further afield.
The owner makes every effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay. She has great travel books and other resources in her library, provides restaurant recommendations, and is happy to help you with any questions or requests.
Three cautions. First, the apartment is one flight of stairs (well lit, easily navigated) up from street level, and there is no elevator. This was absolutely no issue for us but would not be suitable for a mobility impaired guest. Second, the shower is a hand held. This is common in Europe, but if a wall mounted shower is important to you, this may not suit. Finally, don't be put off by the entrance to the stairway. The common area of the building could use a paint job and the first impression isn't great. However, the apartment is meticulously maintained and it would be a shame to let the hallway dampen your enthusiasm for this terrific spot.
Bottom line - I highly recommend this apartment. Great location, beautifully decorated, comfortable and well equipped.

The apt. is indeed a great space for two, has a calm and cozy atmosphere, and is made to order for anyone wanting to "live as privileged Parisians do" during their holidays. Undeniably located in one of the most vibrant, sought-after neighborhoods in the heart of the city, one can pack in as many adventures as possible, even in a short stay.
Expect to have practically all conveniences and activities within walking distance without being disappointed--just as the reviewer suggested. Imagine : relaxing in a pleasingly cozy atmosphere of many rooms where there are dedicated spaces and facilities for preparing romantic meals (formal and informal) or tea for two at the end of a long day of discovery. . . .

"Perfect apartment for our final week in Paris"
The apartment is in the heart of St. Germain which is our favorite neighborhood in Paris. It's relatively quiet but close to everything and this apartment puts you in the middle of it. We were pleasantly surprised and enhanced by being surrounded by the art of the owner and her late husband. Elegant and comfortable, spacious and spotless. Fantastic location offers a sense of history plus the neighborhood's fine restaurants were a gift after days of walking all Paris had to offer. Very thoughtful and helpful owner and would come back again.
Great to have sensitive guests who take advantage of and appreciate all that the apartment and the neighborhood has to offer. Thank you! It's always a pleasure to welcome such guests.

"Spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located."
We spend five nights in this spacious, comfortable apartment during the first week of July. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that it was the Paris home of the late renowned artist, Bernard Stern. The apartment is decorated with his art, which we appreciated all the more after reading one of several books written about the artist.
Rue du Dragon is in the 6th arrondissement, very close tot eh 7th. The location is perfect. Cafes, shopping, museums, restaurants, all within easy walking distance. We walked almost everywhere. There is a metro station and taxi stand just around the corner. We wanted a taxi twice during our stay, and if was very easy and convenient to catch one.
Summer-time Paris : The living is easy!
As these reviewers witnessed, summer visits to Paris are sublime! Lazy, relaxed dining on the Boulevard's terrace cafés and in cozy, intimate restaurants nestled along minuscule alleys off the beaten path. All walking distance from the apartment, especially nice under star-lit nights and warm summer breezes. . . .
Following your cultural adventures and shopping sprees, when you might want to chill, the apt. is a great place to do it--dining in, reading, meditating, writing the obligatory post cards, or planning for the next day's adventures at your separate desks. All of these and more, gracefully accommodated in this sunny, spacious apt--your temporary holiday home.
One could hardly ask for more from holidays spent in the world's most loved city, in one of the most desirable and vibrant neighborhoods in the heart of Paris!

"Lovely, well-apppointed apartment in great location."
We had a wonderful time here. The apartment was sophisticated and clean, a great getaway for 2 adults. Our host was helpful on email as well as very welcoming when we arrived. The location was great , close to the major square in St-Germain-des-Pres but on a quiet side street with no parking. It was very quiet at night, although one could have found plenty of nightlife if desired. We walked everywhere, around our neighborhood and across the Seine to the major tourist attractions on the other bank. There is a fabulous bakery practically next door, and food shops close by. The kitchen was perfectly adequate but we mostly ate out. Our host left restaurant recommendations, and we tried some of them, never having a bad meal. Our favorite restaurants were the ones we found on our own as we walked around. The apartment was a comfortable haven to retreat to after sightseeing and gourmet dining. The only thing we disliked was leaving it.
A great summary of some of the best qualities about the apartment and the neighborhood where visitors can have it all : peace and tranquility in the midst of a vibrant and exciting location. Thank you for having been a witness!

"Our Parisian Home from Home"
My wife and I have now stayed in Rue Du Dragon twice and we intend to return. The spacious apartment is a delight and adds to the experience of visiting this exciting and historic neighbourhood by making a good vacation truly memorable.
Likes: space, character, location, library. Nearby bakery, restaurants, monoprix, metro.
Advice for visitors if not familiar with shopping in France. The shops are closed on Sunday (markets are open though) so make sure that you buy all you need on Saturday.
Repeat visitors are the best witnesses regarding the conveniences of the neighborhood and the comfort and quality of the apt. Thank you for that!

"Perfect apartment to enjoy the attractions of Paris"
The apartment was everything we hoped for and more. A gourmet grocery/liquor store is around the corner. The kitchen is spacious and all the appliances work well. The bedroom is away from the street, very quiet, and the bed was good quality for two tall Americans. The small library has selections for every taste.
The Louvre is a ten minute walk. Other notable museums, churches, and restaurants are within walking distance. Two excellent restaurants are right across the street.
Security is excellent, with two coded doors to access the apartment from the street. The owner was gracious and responsive to all our needs.
You will never regret making this your Paris headquarters.
The apartment is greatly appreciated for its location in one of the most chic, sought-after neighborhoods in the heart of Paris. Couples, and friends sharing a holiday together, really appreciate the space, individual privacy, plus the coziness which the apartment allows. Eating out or eating in are easy choices with restaurants and gourmet food shops just outside the door. Separate mini office spaces allow you to plan your escapades for the day's adventures and to write those obligatory post cards peacefully! Many thanks to the lovely guests who chose the apartment.

"Brilliant location, charming apartment with fabulous artwork and delightful owner"
We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in this comfortable and charming apartment in the heart of the Left Bank. The location is perfect, though perhaps just a bit too much gorgeous shoe buying temptation, with good cafes and restaurants close at hand. Highly recommended.
Very pleased that the reviewer appreciated the animated neighborhood known for shoe boutiques which cater to tastes of all kinds, and the attributes of the apartment which is designed to welcome visitors and to make them feel at home instantly. After a shopping or cultural adventure, choosing any one of the restaurants in the street just a stone's throw away from the apartment--without ever leaving the neighborhood--adds to the time saved for other adventures during one's brief holiday vacation.

An objective and subjective review highlighting all the points important to most visitors. Otherwise, I confirm that there is a dishwasher in the eat-in kitchen and that certain required repairs are being made in common areas before the building treats the painting of the Hall entrances.
