This beautifully appointed apartment with its high ceilings, chandeliers, parquet flooring and marble fire surround is what we consider to be classic French living in miniature. All you would need in a compact layout yet on the doorstep of the très branché "Montorgueil" district.
The small but compact studio of 23m2 offers accommodation for 2 sharing in a great central location. The studio offers a main room with two large windows (open inwards), a comfortable modern double sofa bed, small bistro table and two chairs. There is cable TV and free WiFi/international landline calls. The studio is typically Parisian with its parquet flooring, high ceilings and marble fireplace (not operational). Located on the 2nd floor of this early 19 century building the studio also offers a modern wet room and kitchenette area with microwave and two hot plates as well as fridge and a washing machine. There is also a breakfast bar with stools for the morning croissant and coffee. The studio is located within 200 meters of the famous Rue Montorgueil market street with its wonderful food and wine shops, delis bars and restaurants. The nearest metro is Strassbourg St Denis. Rue d'Aboukir itself is famed for its ladies fashion outlet stores.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a typical crooked Parisian building. It gives onto a quiet one-way street and has large double glazed windows which open inwards.
You will be met on arrival by an English speaking representative who will show you around the apartment and answer any questions you might have
The Paris/Ile de France region
What is there left to say about Paris that has not been said, written or sung about over the centuries? A city for lovers of all kinds - lovers of people, architecture, eating, drinking, shopping, culture and nightlife. A city which we loved so much we wanted to live like Parisians ourselves, hence Maison Galles Paris. Living the dream I suppose you might call it. You can do so as well for a short time and the 2nd district of Paris still retains its olde-world charm yet manages to be ultra hip at the same time.
The Central Paris / 2nd / IIe area
The area is typically Parisian. The old Montorgueil market area is full to brimming with upmarket cafés, fresh produce market stalls and wide choice of quality restaurants, from Italian to sushi. Also close by, and within walking distance, is the pleasant "Marais" district, Louvre and Orsay museums and St Germain des Pres right across Pont Neuf. The apartment's extremely central position makes it ideal to explore museums, taste the nightlife and take in all the thrills that only Paris can offer. Within easy walking distance is the central Châtelet station which has direct lines to almost all locations in and around Paris.

The apartment is located in the central 2nd district on Rue d'Aboukir. If you arrive by plane or train, make your way to Gare du Nord and then take metro line 4 south and three stops later you will arrive at the Strasbourg St Denis metro station. You are now less than 100 metres from the apartment. It couldn't be easier. Once there you can walk to anywhere, but should you fancy taking to the streets on a bike try the libre velo cycles which are available to hire just outside the apartment. Perfect for those keen to live like a true Parisian for a while.
