After having discovered the convenience of apartments for
rent in Paris,the ease of engaging one and the comfort it offers, I shall
be hard pressed to ever stay in an hotel, guest house or bed and breakfast
on my next visit to Paris!
In particular, this delightful loft in Paris exceeded all my expectations.
Too often, when booking through advertised sites which promise the earth,
one is disappointed when they fail to deliver the goods.
Not in this case: the loft has lived up to all its expectations and more.
The apartment itself is spacious and quaint. The furnishings are adequate,
comfortable and utilitarian - in fact, carefully chosen so as not to
clutter the 55m2 space. It is more than adequate for one person (as in my
case), but I have had people stay on many occasions during my 3 month
sojourn - up to 3 visitors at a time - without feeling cramped. The couches
double up as comfortable beds and enough linen is provided. I thought that
the lack of an oven would be an impediment to my culinary adventures: in
fact, it permitted me to be more innovative and I surprised myself with the
delicious meals that could be prepared with only a microwave and two plates
on the electric stove.
Being situated on the 6th floor has its benefits as far as I'm concerned.
You are spared any overhead noises, have a spectacular view of the other
apartment roofs and chimneys, the blue sky on a clear day and get the
glorious afternoon sun. The white paint, windows and skylines provide
adequate lighting. Furthermore, although serviced by an elevator, I always
took the stairs - this was excellent exercise and firmed the derriere substantially!
The superb location of the apartment was also a huge bonus. It is very
central and in close proximity to all the notable tourist sites, shopping
areas and entertainment centres. The public transport is excellent in
Paris, with metros and buses everywhere, but thanks to the address of the
loft, I never made use of the above, as I could walk absolutely everywhere.
This I would recommend if one loves walking, as I do - otherwise make use
of the public transport system. Walking simultaneously permitted me to take
my daily exercise, view sites and visit important areas. And Paris is a
city which lends itself to exploring by foot - it is flat,
pedestrian-friendly and well-designed with clear signposts. Armed with a
map and walking shoes, the world/city is your oyster!
I am having a wonderful time in this glorious city and thoroughly enjoying
living in this loft. Even the imminent winter and cold weather is not
daunting as there is central heating!
If the loft is available on my next visit to the city, I shall rent it
again , even if for a week.
Furthermore, I shall recommend it to my family and all my friends!!!
