Home description

Breathtaking, lovely, romantic and peaceful are just some of the adjectives you might want to use to describe the apartment. A lot of time and energy went into decorating the apartment and the result is a beautiful luxuriously inviting hotel-like room with just a little something special to make it feel more like home.
A superb view is one of the advantages of this fine very functional and entirely refurbished 85sqm two-bedroom apartment located on the 6th floor of a 19th century building (elevator) and equipped with all possible modern amenities. The flat allows you to watch the boats as they pass the lock below. At night you will enjoy the unforgettable view on sparkling Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and the City of Lights. It is the perfect place for visiting
Paris or working.
The two bedrooms have extra long twin beds which can zip together to make kingsize beds if needed. The Italian sofa converts into a Kingsize bed.

The Paris/Ile de France region

You can stroll along the Port de Plaisance de Paris or the Open Air Sculpture museum, get in no time into the Jardin des Plantes and the Latin Quarter. Our neighbour, the latest modern art museum and private foundation in Paris, la Maison Rouge, was inaugurated on the 5th of June 2004 at number 10 of the Boulevard de la Bastille. Within walking distance (10 minutes) are Ile saint-Louis, Ile de la Cité (with Notre-Dame), the Place des Vosges with French novelist Victor Hugo's house in which he wrote his novels, especially Les Misérables, and Musée Picasso. Within walking distance (15 minutes) there is also Marché d'Aligre, the typical and cheapest daily open-air food market of the capital.

Paris Ile-de-France : A cultural gold mine !
The Louvre Museum, Versailles Château, Orsay Museum, Saint-Denis Basilica and the Fontainebleau Château are all just a small part of what makes Paris Ile-de-France the most beautiful museum in the world. Between cultural visits and entertainment possibilities, there are ample opportunities to take advantage of your stay and discover the very best in festive entertainment and leisure activity : shows, Parisian reviews, operas, not to mention shopping, sports and more. Paris Ile-de-France throws open the doors to its rich heritage: castles, museums, monuments, unusual sites, artists' homes, gardens and natural parks. Everything that Paris Ile-de-France has to offer abounds in spectacle and enchantment: evenings on terraces beneath sweet summer skies, reviews bathed in glitter and glitz, operas and the hottest discos around. Paris is a major world capital and a crossroads for the latest trends. Shopping in the capital is not a question of luxury but of temptation, which will taunt you at every street corner you see ! Paris Ile-de-France is the only address you need when looking for fun or to unwind. There are ample opportunities to challenge your capabilities and even amaze yourself !

Central Paris area

Paris is a majestic city, a city of culture, romance, gastronomy, design and fashion. It is also a city on the move, a city of daring...
With the opening of new museums, world-class sporting events, festive and popular urban happenings like “Nuit Blanche” and “Paris Plage”, Paris is a capital that never sleeps.
Whether you are a newcomer or already familiar with the Paris scene, there is a vast choice awaiting you: over 1,800 classified monuments, 170 museums, 145 theatres and 380 cinemas. Some of the cultural sites of the capital are absolute “musts” and among the most visited monuments in the world. Several of them have Unesco world heritage status.
Paris, however, is not just a historical city. Its riverbanks and neighbourhoods, some of which retain a village atmosphere, are an invitation to stroll and sightsee. By day or by night, from Belleville to the Marais, from the Butte aux Cailles to Montmartre, soak up the special ambience of these quartiers to grasp the true “spirit” of the city and let yourself be carried away by its energy and vitality.

Paris, the eternal, original, modern, creative City of Lights, is yours for the taking.

Whether you are already “in love” with our city or here for the first time, please make yourself at home.
Welcome to Paris!

How to get there

AboutMyPlace

View Interactive Map

There is a direct (train / RER B) connection from airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle to Gare du Nord and then a direct metro connection (line 10 direction Place d'Italie) to Quai de la Rapée, which is our metro station: that is definitely less costly than a taxi. It takes between one hour and a half and two hours to reach us from the airport.
The apartment is just across the street from the metro station.

Guestbook

Dear Catherine,
I have just spent the most wonderful week in Paris with my son, Jeffrey, and Canndy. Although we did not get to meet, I wanted you to know how very much we have enjoyed your lovely apartment with all its comforts, the magnificent view and the proximity to everything. It was truly a wonderful experience, not only to be reunited with my son who lives in Hong Kong, but also to see Paris again after 33 years!I can assure you that I will recommend your apartment to all my friends and hope to return one day. A la prochaine,Dorothy, (June 2007)

Dear Catherine:
We are back in Northern California after a wonderful visit to Paris and Provence. I just wanted to thank you again for your hospitality during our stay in your lovely flat. It is a terrific location and we really enjoyed being able to stay in a Paris neighborhood. We loved being able to walk to so many wonderful places from the flat and we enjoyed watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. I hope our paths cross again sometime. Best regards, Kathryn (June 2007)

The four of us feel very lucky for spending a week in each of your properties. The Paris apartment is so comfortable and well located, with a wonderful view, absolutely full-equipped, every moment I feeled almost at home, moreover we had a super-efficient Catherine living beside who was extremely kind and patient helping every time we needed, including attending international phone calls in the middle of the night. Best regards, Rosario, (Santiago, Chile) June 2007)

We just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our stay in your apartment last week. The views were magnificent, it was wonderful to look out at the Eiffel Tower twinkling while we ate our dinner. We were extremely cosy and comfortable and the children really appreciated the ample supply of English books and videos. We really had a wonderful experience, thank you so much and we hope to book again in the future. Kind regards, Kevin, Shirley, Chloe, Adam and Emily (February 2007)

We all enjoyed our holiday in Paris tremendously. There were many reasons for the success of our holiday but one of them was surely the comfort, pleasure and convenience of your flat. The holiday in Paris was a wonderful time for us – it set a very high standard for future holidays that will be hard to beat. Once again thank you very much.Best wishes to you and your family, Peter, Mira, Mica and Keren (Sydney, November 2006)

We've been back in Sydney for a couple of weeks now. Thank you so much for your hospitality. The apartment was charming - it had everything we needed and is in a wonderful location. We especially appreciated being able to use the Internet and admire that wonderful view at the same time. Hopefully we'll be back soon. Kind Regards, Bob and Rosemary Stephens (June 2006)

" The location was fabulous..the apartment felt just like home within 15 minutes of arriving.....our landlady was very friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive...the price was very good value... what else can I tell you...we would book there again in a heartbeat! "Tom, Canada. (Spring 2006)

I wanted to thank you for your wonderful apartment and the incredible service you offer. There is not one thing that we can think of that we needed there and could not find. We both feel that the highlight of our whole overseas trip was walking into the apartment and realising that it was even better than we had expected. For us, sitting at the dinner table and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkling was unforgettable. For all international travellers to Paris a view of the tower from your accommodation is the most valued view, but from your apartment it is only one of the many famous landmarks we could see.We will know very shortly the dates we will be in Paris in 2007 so I will contact you as soon as possible to make a booking. Once again thank you, Heather, Australia.(Spring 2006)

Luckily we found an apartment that had the most enchanting view of the city...The view is spectacular ! The location and conveniences provided are very good ! It seems that you have"thought everything through" very well and have tried to provide everything anyone could need. Thank you! I think you are doing a very good job of providing exceptional service ! I was very pleased that the apartment and described amenities were exactly as promised, sometimes even better ! This is usually not the case in life and was such a nice surprise!Sadia,Canada.(2005)
