A charming, recently refurnished studio in the heart of the city. The studio is a standard residence for this side of town; it has a separate shower, a separate kitchen fully equipped, and a full room with a brand new bed, a dining space area, two confortable leather chairs for resting or reading, cable tv, internet, wi-fi, and a land line. As well, it has a hair drier, no need to bring one; an iron and ironing table, towels and sheets included.

The studio is located in the heart of everything: right, almost, across the street, there a wonderful organic grocers; It has lovely French and local products. A great location for those on a special diet. Not far from the grocers, a very tasteful Japanese tea house. A great place to stop to get to know the locals. Just within 5 minutes, you have the famous George Pompidou museum that has a wonderful restaurant on the last floor, and free entrance to everyone going up from a drink and at the same time, to enjoy a breathtaking view of Paris. Within 5 minutes, you have Hotel de Ville...great place to be...city hall always has something to keep the Parisians and tourists busy and entertained. 10 minutes away, you have Notre Dame. Across Notre Dame, you have the Latin neighborhood...pretty much, in conclusion, you can walk to just about everywhere.

Oh I forgot, great restaurants are plenty, night life is everywhere. This is after all, Le Marais, known for its excentrique, historical, charming very old buildings and its young and hip community spirit. Last and very important :starting July 21, PARIS Beach is here! For one month, the city of Paris brings the beach and entertainment to the Parisians and tourists. It`s a quite a treat for the locals and an amazing spot to begin the day. Its a 10 minute walk from the studio and if you get there in the morning hours, you can have a beach lounge chair with the view of the Seine and romantic Paris enjoying a cup of coffee and the morning paper...my absolute favorite thing to do in Paris!

The Paris/Ile de France region

Le Marais is a young, hip and exciting side of town. In the heart of it, you have the old traditional, historical Jewish neighborhood. a great location for great restaurants, hamburger shops, beautiful sweets and fun shopping. The other locations are covered with your traditional coffe shops...great for people watching. The whole area is so rich in everything; my advice: have a good breakfast and hit the pavement. This side of town will keep you very busy and you will have a wonderful time.

Central Paris

Central Paris is where everything happens. Just a 5 minute from the flat, you have the famous Hotel de Ville. This is the main place where all city entertainment comes to live. It`s known for great outdoor concerts, sports events ( yes, real sand-ball competitions) Ice skating in the winter, tons of city sponsored cultural events, and a great place to see what the city is up to. Just 5 minutes from here, you have Notre Dame. You will safe a fortune of time, knowing that you can bit the crowds by getting up at around 9AM, having a great cup of coffee with the view of Notre Dame and making up to the second floor of Notre Dame, all before 10:30 am...

I recommend, after hitting Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame, head back to the flat, and go to George Pompidou. ( just across the street from the flat) The museum opens at 11: 30. On the top floor of George Pompidou, there`s a restaurant with the most amazing view of the city. Even if it`s raining, the view is still worth going up ...great photos, draw back: pricy drinks. After an early afternoon at Paris finest example of modern art, you can go shopping in Les Halles. The choice is endless, and prices range from cheap to relatively affordable. You can finish the day, by heading to the heart of Le Marais. There`s a little of everything for everybody`s taste and budget...restaurants, theaters, comedy clubs ( some times, you can find a guest Anglo phone comedian) bars, pubs, night clubs, sauna rooms, tea rooms, cultural events, expos, coffees shops, public swimming pool, and 5 minute walk to the Seine for a great morning jog with the view of the entire city. ( I will offer more ideas and what to do on your arrival or you can just ask me before your arrival)
