This one bedroom apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (no lift) of a 17th century building in a historical area of Paris. It is situated in the famous Rue St Andre des Arts, just two minutes from Metro St Michel and RER rail station. It is set back from the street so that even though the area outside is busy, the apartment is quiet and peaceful.The apartment consists of an entrance hall, lounge, bedroom,small kitchen, shower and toilet. Floor to ceiling windows give good natural light from interior courtyards. The flat is perfect for a couple.

The Paris/Ile de France region
This part of the Left Bank (St Germain des Pres) is one of the most famous in Paris. Bookstores, cafes, small theatres and jazz clubs fill this historical area between the Seine and the elegant Boulevard St Germain. Literary cafes such as Cafe Flore and Les Deux Magots, home of intellectuals in the post war years, are still popular and the Shakespeare bookshop (open till midnight) opposite Notre Dame is staffed by visiting students who can stay in one of the tiny upstairs rooms. There is a bustling nightlife in clubs and pubs (the inevitable Irish pub). Small shops in Rue St Andre des Arts stay open late. The area is a shoppers' paradise.
Central Paris area
Within walking distance are many museums and galleries. Musee d'Orsay, converted from a railway station, is a walk along the river. Saint Chapelle and Theatre du Chatelet just over the bridge (Pont St Michel) host many concerts. Musee de Cluny, nearby, houses a fine collection of medieval art . You can walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. The 13th century church of St Severin is few minutes walk from the apartment.
How to get there
The apartment is situated just two minutes from the Metro St Michel on the Left Bank. It is on a direct line from Gare Du Nord (about 15 minutes) if you are travelling by Eurostar. If travelling by plane take the RER rail link direct to St Michel RER (again 2 minutes from the apartment)

Further details outdoors: The building is in Rue St Andre des Arts, a narrow street with few cars. It is filled with small shops, cafes, creperies and brasseries which are open late.There is a wide range of restaurants nearby. There are clubs, jazz clubs and galleries within five minutes walk. From the flat it is 2 minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame. Artists paint on the river bank on Sunday morning. Three minutes to the left is Rue de Bucci, filled with market stalls, delicatessens, pavement cafes (even in Winter).
