This is an excellent property for a large group wanting to be close to Paris's main attractions but part of a residential community. The standard of the accommodation is high with all modern appliances and well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space for 8-10 people. The neighbourhood offers the necessary bread, patisserie, butchers and supermarkets in abundance. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance as is two metro lines. The local market 5 min away is one of the best in Paris with a wide range of fresh produce including fresh fish

The apartment is on the ground floor and 1st floor of a building with its own private entrance (like a house).

The lounge is spacious and bright. It has a corner sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, a dresser, a fireplace and a flat screen TV.

The fully equipped kitchen is open plan with a breakfast bar. Taking advantage of its modern equipment you can prepare delicious meals for your friends and family. It also has a dining area with a large wooden table.

The bedrooms are upstairs. All are double. There is a 5th room that can be used by a 9th person or alternatively serve as an office.

Paris, the City of Lights, is the most visited city in the world for a reason - from the world-renown museums, a plethora of culinary delights, shop til you drop, and of course famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Opera.

Around the Marais:

No one word can really sum up the Marais: it’s an area packed full of rich history, lined with specialty boutiques, as well as a buzzing café scene. It’s certainly the place to be on a Sunday when it really comes to life as the streets are closed to traffic and the shops are open.

‘Le Marais’ literally translates to ‘the marsh’ in French as it used to be a marshy terrain (it’s slightly nicer now!). It was cleaned up in the 12th century and early in the 13th century when the Order of the Temple (you might recall the Knights Templar being referred to in the Da Vinci Code) set up shop in the north of the Marais. Many other religious institutions followed, some of whom are remembered today by their street signs in the Marais such as: Rue Blancs-Manteaux, and Rue Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie.

From the 13th to the 17th century, the aristocrats and rich moved in leaving behind grand mansions, referred to as hôtel particulars, with the grandest functioning as museums and libraries today. King Henri IV also created Place des Vosges (was called Place Royale) in this era, and as you can probably guess by the name, it was primarily for the royals to prance about in!
