About the home

Dated from the 17st century, was a side part of the Louvre where several members of the Royal Family were hosted in as well as Royal Horses ( not in the apartment but in the stable on the ground floor , which is now a valet serviced parking for mechanical horses) . Thanks to the 3,5m high ceilings, the thick walls, floors and parquets, the apartment is very quiet (the walls are 1m thick in some places). It was transformed and totally renewed by the end of 2005 and in 2010.
The equipment of the building as the elevator, the TV, water and electricity circuits are new. The First 3 floors are the new design office of Louis Vuitton, the very top of the French luxury. We can host from 2 to 14 guests. In the building there is an underground parking, (garage with Valet), some parts are equipped with washing/drying machines. There is an AC system but the AC and parking are not included.

The very best point is that it is located in the most central area of historical Paris, no need to use the metro (loose of time) everything is accessible simply walking or biking.

There are 8 double beds ( 3 queen size , 5 double) 4 are sofabeds but most of them very good quality . There are several tables , 2 kitchens , several sitting areas

We are in the very center of Paris and most of points of interest are walkable from here : most of our museums ( just to cross the street to be in the Louvre) but also our biggest swimming pool, the out door skate ring (winter only) , the boats ( the river is just 5 min walk from here) ...

Conditions

It is a high security building managed by Louis Vuitton so you are perfectly safe but you have to apply to some security requirements ( have valid documents, respect security, circulation, calm and fire regulations) which will make your stay pleasant and safe.

Paris has a pleasant climate tempered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Golf Stream. Rather dry and sunny.
The area has plenty of artist shops, excellent French restaurants, beautiful buildings and embassies ...

It is a very large, green, quiet and very safe area (as it is also just behind several of our Ministries and near the Parliament, it is one of safest places in Paris). Champs Elysees is close by as is the Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre and plenty of other famous sights of Paris.

Paris is the City of Lights : Count less enlighten monuments but also enlightening the Earth with its culture. As the Statue of Liberty with the famous torch enlightening the humanity with the idea of Human rights ...
As a historical curiosum: Mr de La Motte Piquet was the Admiral of the French fleet allied to the American army in the American civil war against the British.

On February 14, 1778, six days after France decided to join the Patriots in their fight against the British, John Paul Jones was sailing into Quiberon Bay in France. He and Admiral La Motte Piquet of the French Navy saluted each other with gun fire. This was the first time the new flag of the Colonies had been recognized by a foreign government”

It is located close to 2 big gardens (parks): Champs de Mars (the Eiffel Tower park) and the Invalides Gardens with plenty of green and quit places to sit, rest , drink a good cafe or tea in a garden …
It is also located near the Seine river where there are many river walks, you can also take from here the BatoBus (the bus on the river)

A short walk from the AirFrance airport terminal (do not be afraid, the planes do not lend over here but there is an AirFrance city centre terminal with a cheap and very comfortable, direct Bus from here to the airport) so no need for the taxi or metro and train to and from the airport.

The walking distance to Champs Elysees , Le Louvre, Latin Quarter .. is also very reasonable.

All Paris Museums and Monuments (we live in Paris for 40 years and we still have something to visit every Week !!)

d) We return the deposit between 1 and 2 weeks later by PayPal

e) PayPal transfers are charged 4% ( standard PayPal transfer fee)
