Big and very calm two-room flat (70 m²) in the 5th district. In the heart of Paris and the Quartier Latin, not far from Pantheon, Notre Dame and the Sorbonne, in an ancient building on a walking street, yard with beautiful garden; 1st floor, interphone, living room with dining table and double sofa bed, office space with table, bedroom with double bed, kitchen totally equipped, bathroom with bath, cable TV, Internet ADSL WiFi, telephone with unlimited access to over 100 countries by fixed lines and US & Canada mobiles.

The Paris/Ile de France region

Paris is known for its famous buildings and works of art, its chic fashion scene and its modern literary, artistic, and intellectual ideals, and is a must for anyone wishing to experience the best of both contemporary and age old European culture. If you have limited time, make sure to go to the area north of the river, the Rive Droite, to see the tree-lined Avenue des Champs Elysees, running west from the Arc de Triomphe.

East of the avenue is the Musee du Louvre, the Centre Georges Pompidou and a lively district of museums, shops, markets and restaurants. Immediately south of the Pompidou Centre on the Ile de la Cite is Notre Dame Cathedral. If you still have time, head west along the river and you will find the city’s trademark, the Eiffel Tower. If you are intrigued by Paris’ famous academic, artistic and intellectual enclave, the Saint Germain de Pres and Montparnasse districts are located just to the east.

The Central Paris / 5th / Ve area

The Latin Quarter of Paris, or “Quartier Latin” in French, is located on the left bank of the River Seine, around the Sorbonne University in the 5th and 6th arrondissement of Paris. Next to the Latin quarter you’ll find Saint-Germain-des-Prés area.

Both are synonymous in French of “rive gauche”, that is the left bank, that is also a state of mind. Everybody in the world should know Le Quartier Latin and Saint-Germain-des-Prés: it’s one of the postcards of Paris buzzing with artists, students and sidewalk cafés. It was the heart of the intellectual establishments in the 60’s with philosophers, revolutionaries, publishers, writers, musicians..

Best is to visit this area without precise direction thru the narrows streets to feel the spirit of the left Bank.

But to make it easier we invite to start from Notre-Dame Cathedral and finish at Orsay Museum...

“Fantastically Functional Apt., Sincere and Friendly Service” From the moment we accepted the apartment, and he accepted us as renters and even to date, communication with the owner was continually prompt, excellent and friendly. Made us look forward to our stay all the more. Attaining the key and directions to the apartment went exactly as stated. The apartment was clean and perfectly functional for our family of 5 (children 10, 7, 5 1/2). Parents had a twin-double bed in a bedroom, one daughter had her own bed as well, and two slept in a pull-out bed. Plenty of blankets. We didn't use the TV or washer/dryer, and the view was fine as well--liked that we were inset from the street. LOVED the location...Eric Kaiser bakery is right down the street, as well as other eateries. You can catch the Metro in 200M either up OR down rue Rollin! Within walking distance to Notre Dame, Pantheon, the Seine, Shakespeare and Co. bookstore... we walked everywhere. Too easy! We found it an amazingly quiet venue--save the night filmakers used the alley to film(!)but that was a really neat experience!!! The lovely property manager was prompt always, and super friendly--because we don't know French we struggled a bit, but that's on us and could be resolved with a dictionary! Our depsit was returned the same day as checkout, and we were only required to take out the trash. This was our first ever experience renting an apartment--in my further research what I have learned is to be prepared to buy dish, laundry detergent and possibly toilet paper--I think this is just good to know for anyone renting an apartment. There were little fixes that I'm sure the owner has addressed by now, but none that prevented us from enjoying our short stay nor even came close to outweighing the benefits this apartment provides! We are looking forward to renting this apartment again!

“A great location to visit Paris” A good apartment, very well located in the center of Paris, near two lines of the metro. Situated in a very nice neighborhood where you can buy everything you need to make your visit even easier.
