The Paris/Ile de France region

Our everlasting love affair with France is a passionate one. Its chic capital is still number one for weekend breaks; the beautiful region of Provence dazzles the senses with its breathtaking scenery, fascinating history and excellent cuisine; and the French Riviera remains a glamorous and stylish escape from the capricious British climate.

With a maximum two hour flying time from the UK and choice of superlative hotels and resorts, France, quite rightly, continues to be one of our favourite European hot-spots.

Central Paris

The residential, business and couture district around the Champs Elysées is glamorous and glitzy. The Champs Elysées remains a magnetic attraction as the world’s most beautiful avenue catering to everyone with fast-food joints, luxury restaurants, chain stores, cinemas, discotheques and bars galore.

At the top of the Champs-Elysées stands the imposing Arc de Triomphe, Napoléon's monument to himself. Take a deep breath and climb to the top for an incredible view of the Etoile (star) of avenues circling below.

At the other end of the Champs, the beautifully restored Grand Palais hosts some of the city's most splendid art exhibitions while the avenue Montaigne is lined with haute couture boutiques.

Nearby attractions: Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, Palais de la Découverte, Petit Palais, Musée Guimet, Designer boutiques, Restaurants, cafés, bars and Designer boutiques.
