The Paris/Ile de France region


Attractions outside of Paris include the Château de Versailles and the Fontainebleau Forest. The entire Ile de France is dotted with beautiful châteaux in little towns like Chantilly.
Art lovers flock to the biggest museum in the world: something for everybody at the Louvre, with its new, vastly improved access from the Pei Pyramid.
The Central Paris area
Reserve for ballet at the beautiful old opera (Palais Garnier) or seats at the new Opera de Paris at the Bastille. Lots of jazz every night on the central Rue des Lombards, and delicious dining everywhere. Paris climate generally tends away from extreme hot and cold, making a great walking city, thanks to the dense public transportation network; broad boulevards and several key pedestrian areas.

On foot: go downhill from Porte d'Italie and halfway down take a right on the small uphill street with paving stones: Rue du Moulin de la Pointe. The building is called Tour Chambord. Take the steps on the right around to the front of the building.

We spent weeks looking for a place to rent and was glad to stumbled upon this property. The location was perfect for arriving by car, it is located really close to the highway. And free underground parking is definitely a plus. The metro station is a block away, making it really easy to travel around the city. The property was clean and furnished in a simple manner, which is what we were looking for. Granted the property is older, as are many of the other buildings in the area, so don't expect the inside to be new and perfect looking. However, everything was in working order and we could tell the property had been cleaned. Everything we needed was supplied with the property and there are multiple places to shop for food close by. The price was excellent as well, definitely a deal. The customer service as awesome as well, the owner went out of her way to help us and offered a lot of helpful information. Would recommend the property to anyone going to Paris and would stay there again. |

Es un buen lugar para visitar Paris y alrededores, está bien comunicado, ya que hay cerca un par de paradas de metro y una de tranvía. Además si se viaja con coche, también tienen plaza de garaje. La única pega que le encuentro es que tendría que haber estado más limpio el día de la entrega, pero en general no está mal. Para una estancia corta es adecuado.
