Home description
The living room contains mid-19th century antiques, to give the space that classique feel. We have installed a double sofabed that sleeps two comfortably.
The choice is yours, whether you decide to sit back in one of the comfortable reading chairs as you thumb through our large library or sit back and watch a bit of cable Television.
A high speed wireless internet connection has been provided free of charge, so that you can always remain connected or just to look up tourist information.
Off the living room is a state-of-the-art kitchen outfitted by a serious cook. Whether you share our passion for cooking or you just want to reheat some of the delectable delights you have picked up from the numerous food shops or at our local street market, you will find all that you need.
Our newly renovated bathroom contains a bath with shower and also serves as our "buanderie" (laundry room), with a separate washer and dryer. Step out of a warm bath and grab your warm towel off our heated towel rack.
The toilet is separate from the bathroom and has its own sink.
Our large bedroom contains two twin beds that can easily be made into one king size bed or can be separated, depending on your needs. You will find plently of space to unpack your bags and put your things away, either in the antique dresser or in the hanging closet. Additionally, you will find an armoire in the apartement's entryway should you need more storage.

The Paris/Ile de France region
The Romans called it Mons Mercurii, after erecting a hilltop shrine to their god of commerce. Medieval folks referred to it as Montmartre, or “Hill of Martyrs”, after legend stated that their patron saint tucked his decapitated head under his arm and walked from this hill to a more comfortable resting place north of Paris. In more modern times the village of Montmartre at Paris’ highest point, is best known for many painters who frequented its sidewalk cafés. Living and breathing their art and often trading it for a hot meal. Montmartre attracted such great artists as Picasso, Modgliani, Renoir, Manet, Toulouse Lautrec and Van Gogh. Walking around here it is easy to see the indelible mark from Montmartre’s colourful past. The narrow cobble stoned streets are still home to painters capitalizing on the artists whose space they have taken on the Place du Tertre. So take the time to explore the village of Montmartre and see why its sloping streets are still the obsession of painters, photographers and tourists alike.
Central Paris area
Located one minute from one of Paris's most frequent north-south bus lines (bus 95)-- carrying passengers to the Champs Elysees and Left Bank; three minutes to another bus line to the Louvre, Montparnasse, and antique markets at the Porte Clignancourt; and four minutes from the Metro, the apartment is an ideal springboard for sightseeing anywhere in Paris and beyond. Wine merchants, green grocers, two good bakers, an award-winning patissier, two celebrated cheese shops, and even a health food shop are all within minutes on foot.
How to get there
- Just about 23 km from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport. - We offer a car service through Elysee Car service for a special discounted rate. Contact us for our discount code if you book our apartment. - You can also use the RER B to get into Paris (Gare du Nord). Take line 4 to Marcadet Poissonier and switch there to line 12 to Lamarck-Caulaincourt.
Be aware that at CDG airport the line to get a metro ticket to go into Paris can be very long as the automatic ticket machines only work for French credit cards or coins.
-You do always have the option of taking a regular taxi but the line is often long and you will be charged a small surplus for bags and of course the meter is running even if the traffic isn't moving.
