The Central Paris / 7th / VIIe area
This very bourgeois district with gardens and secret interior courtyards (more than 150 private houses just in Faubourg St. Germain) holds France's most symbolic monument: the Eiffel Tower and the Champs de Mars which unfold below its 4 monumental feet.
But to stay or visit the 7th district is also discovering Les Invalides (built by Napoleon to house wounded soldiers) or the Musée d'Orsay, the building is a marvel in itself not to mention the works that are exhibited within.
