Home description
The sitting room is a place of repose equipped with ample comfortable seating. Time can be spent listening to French life as it passes outside the window, reading a short story or perhaps a late night DVD from the collection or Cable TV.
If you wish to catch up on some holiday emails, a laptop with WIFI internet access is also available. The dining area seats four and the table can be extended if you need more room for all the yummy French delicacies on your doorstep. This room has been designed to double up as a second bedroom with its own door and the large leather sofa that turns into a comfortable double bed. Your belongings can be stored in the armoire and suitable lighting has been provided for bedtime reading. The curtains have blackout lining so the sunlight will not disturb you until you are ready to open your eyes. For additional darkness you can close the external volets.
The bedroom is a peaceful retreat with its warm tones and calm photographs. The bed is surely the centre piece of this room and once you are installed, it will be very hard to resist the temptation to linger in bed. The sheers on the window sway if there is a slight breeze and allow for some privacy while letting the natural light in. You will have no shortage of space to store your belongings as we have large built-in wardrobes on either side of the bed. The small bureau near the window is a good place to scribble a few postcards.
The Moroccan sitting area just next to the American style kitchen is a comfortable spot to enjoy a glass of wine, listen to a cd or maybe chat as you prepare your meal from the excellent local produce. This area also allows those already awake to have a cozy sitting area without having to enter the living room.
Rue Damremont is home to one of the best cheese shops in Paris and all sorts of interesting produce – from wines, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, to patisseries you will be able to find everything just minutes away. Special care has been taken to fully equip the kitchen with everything that you should need to whip up inspirational dishes.
The deep bath tub is a must after a long day’s touring…..and a tray in the kitchen has been provided so you can be served champagne while you soak.

Paris is one of the top romantic destinations and people just can't get enough.
Central Paris / 18th / XVIIIe - Montmartre area
The apartment is located in “residential Paris” on Rue Marcadet. Square Carpeaux is literally next door and invites you to relax and read a book or just bask in the Paris Sunshine. The quiet surroundings of Marcadet are inviting after a day’s sightseeing. Perhaps you might decide to get off the 95 bus at Damremont and make your way back to the apartment stopping in the small local shops to pick up a few items for dinner. There may also be time for a cup of tea or an espresso and a pastry in one of the local coffee shops. The surrounding area is home to some very good restaurants which are definitely worth a visit.
You have easy access to two metro lines (12 and 13) that can take you throughout the city with ease. The 95 bus line alone, with a bus stop just up the street from the apartment, runs by the Grands Magasins (Paris’ famous department stores), Opera, the Louvre, and all the way through St. Germain to Montparnasse.
The area is full of outdoor markets, boulangeries and much more. Rue Damremont which runs perpendicular to Marcadet is a great place for shopping for food with all sorts of specialty stores.
If traveling with kids or for your own relaxation, visit square Carpeaux where you can find a children's playground as well as benches for you to rest your wary legs.
How to get there
- Just about 20 km from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport. - We offer a car service through Elysee Car service from 65 euros from CDG and 40 euros from Orly. Contact us for our discount code if you book our apartment. - You can also use the RER B to get into Paris and take the metro line 4 to Marcadet Poissoniere to change to line 12 which brings you to Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro station just 7 minutes from the apartment. Be aware that at CDG airport the line to get a metro ticket to go into Paris can be very long as the automatic ticket machines only work for French credit cards. -You do always have the option of taking a regular taxi but the line is often long and you will be charged a small surplus for bags and of course the meter is running even if the traffic isn't moving.

Dear Yetunde, This is one of the loveliest apartments I've rented and the location is absolutely fabulous. The man who sells fresh oysters outside La Choppe Brasserie on Blvd St Ouen, the cheese shop held by Virginie on Damremont, the excellent wine shop on the same street, the boulangerie and the newspaper store right outside the door. Wow!
Le traiteur "Avec ceux-ci" est génial pour les soirs où on veut diner à la maison et le resto "Le Square" pour les soirs de sortie. J'espère revenir l'été pour essayer leur terrace. Jerome le chef, est trés gentil et la carte des vins est superbe! Staying here before and after Christmas was a great way to start a new year.
