Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 3
Situated on the first floor in a "Montmartois" building, French Kiss is a romantic and cozy hideaway located on in a cobble-stoned passage. The name of the apartment was inspired by Doisneau's "Le Baiser de L'Hôtel de Ville", which you find prominently featured in the living room. Never was a more romantic image of Paris taken by one of the world's most renowned photographers. Other images of Paris that have circled the world are featured throughout the apartment.
The apartment has been tastefully decorated to give you a feeling of calm and tranquility even in the busy city of lights. The rooms overlook a small inner courtyard and large windows allow in plenty of natural light. This cozy, intimate retreat is a lovely place which to call home during your stay with us in Paris so we hope to see you soon at French Kiss.

The Paris/Ile de France region
Montmartre has been the home to artists and performers and lovers of the arts for hundreds of years. This is a great location for experiencing the real Paris. Enjoy the buzz of Montmartre and take a step into a relaxed Bohemian atmosphere.
Enjoy an espresso in one of the many bars or cafes or a nice glass of wine on one the terraces. There is always something going on in Montmartre from weekly live jazz performances at local restaurants or the impromptu concert at Place des Abbesses near the Carousel.
The area is home to the Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur and the last vineyard in Paris. The stairs on the street lead to the Sacre Coeur cathedral, which is a 2-minute walk from the apartment. From there, you have arguably the best view of Paris.
If you wish to experience a local French market, you can benefit from the rue du Poteau market for the purchasing of your fresh food products. More exotic food finds can be purchased at the Chateau Rouge market (about 5 minutes away), Paris' most famous African market. Rue Poteau also has many specialty shops where you can buy everything from exotic teas and African & Asian foods, to fresh cheese and meat or just a slice of pizza.

"Delightful little home in Paris"
We stayed here for three weeks. It was very suitable for a couple, with a comfy bedroom and a small lounge room. If you had a lot of luggage it could be difficult - there really wasn't much spare… More

We found "French Kiss" to be a little small - expected in Paris, but I think the flow (bathroom/bedroom doors for example) made it a little cramped. The apartment was in need of some mainte… More
Thank you for taking the time to write up a review. The issue with the floorboard came up rather suddenly and required that we wait for insurance inspectors to come and determine whether the cause came from the exterior of the building. I'm sorry that we did not mention this prior to your arrival. Not sure what you mean that the table had to be placed differently as the issue was with only two floor boards and not the entire room.
Concerning the layout, the bedroom entrance is with a sliding door - we changed that about a year ago to improve the flow. The hallway at this point is not very large admittedly so if someone is walking out the bedroom at the same time that someone exits the bathroom, it could be awkward. We will have to look to see if it is feasible for the bathroom door to open towards the inside. Thank you for this note.
We left the living room door in place so that you could close it to reduce any possible noise from the small building hallway that may filter into the apartment as people make their way up to their respective apartments. We are looking at how we can further dampen any of this noise. I've used the apartment myself on several occasions and found that closing that door to the living room does help. But we should note that the late night noise you referred to can't be heard in the bedroom which is not near the entrance door at all. If someone were sleeping in the living room and didn't close the living room door, I could imagine they would hear the movement in the staircase but not from the bedroom.
We have to schedule work as the calendar permits and literally the day after you left, the bathroom ceiling was repainting. We have a ventilation system in place there but we try to ask guests to please leave it on after a shower for several minutes but as we aren't in there with them we have little control of whether or not they do. But the ceiling is all brand new now.
The apartment size can't be changed. It is a small one-bedroom. We include the size, photos and a floor plan for our apartments so hope that the information is clear. Feedback like yours is very helpful to help on continue to improve where we can.
I am happy to hear that the amenities were to your liking and you enjoyed our overall service and despite the issues you mention you still feel you would recommend the apartment.

Great stay. Apartment is well maintained with all facilities needed, including computer and wireless internet.
Location is really good, maybe 100 m from Blanche metro so access from airport is easy. The local area has great food outlets, mostly fresh, plus supermarkets, takeaways, bars, restaurants and entertainment. No real need to go far!
i would happily go back.
Thank you for your review. There may be some confusion here as French Kiss is not 100 meters from metro Blanche. You may perhaps have been referring to another one of our past listings. The metros around French Kiss are Lamarck-Caulaincourt and Chateau Rouge.
At any rate, I'm happy that you found our services to your liking.

"Lovely apartment - Good location"
We enjoyed our stay at French Kiss. It was a nicely decorated, relatively spacious apartment close to 2 metros, shops, cafes, and practically on the door step of Sacre Coeur. We received a welcome basket on arrival with a nice bottle of wine, we had use of a laptop, free wi-fi, and were also able to phone home free of charge. James who greeted us was very helpful and informative and gave us information about the city. We didnt have any problems with the apartment while we were there & would stay again if we returned to Paris.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Paris at French Kiss. We look forward to having you with us at this or another one of our apartments.

We stayed at the French Kiss for one week and loved the location. It was close to restaurants and shopping and one of the staff was there to meet us when we arrived. We were even given a "welcome" basket. The apartment included all amentities one would need and was also very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who visits Paris. We were definitely pleased that we stayed in the Montmarte District.
So happy to read that you would recommend us and the apartment to others. We look forward to possibly having you as our guests once again.
