The apartment is a duplex, (2 floors), downstairs are the bedrooms and bathroom, upstairs is the kitchen and living area leading out to the terrasse. The apt has been completely renovated using natural materials, while retaining the original features - parquette flooring, wooden beams, fantastic glass walk in shower. A charming terrasse, (with table and chairs) where you can spend time drinking a glass of wine, catching up with your reading or just soaking up the atmosphere. It has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a bathroom, (the toilet is located in the bathroom) and a large living room with a single sofa bed.
Lots of space with a modern kitchen with top of the range appliances, such as a SMEG American style fridge to store all the lovely wine and champagne you will need.
The street, rue de la Harpe is situated in the heart of Paris Left Bank, the Latin quarter, nearest metro St. Michel, and Clunny La Sorbonne.
This 750 sq ft (75m2) large duplex apartment is four floors up (no lift) but with plenty of light. You will appreciate the the peace, quiet and privacy that only being on the top floor can bring. The street is pedestrian, so no traffic noise, which is a rare find in Paris.
Note: Paris is a small and busy capital, be careful of 1st or 2nd floor apts as the street noise outside can be loud.
Fantastic location for evening strolls, boat trips, great food and wine bars all on your doorstep. 'Sex and the City' and the 'Devil Wears Prada' were all filmed near by!!
Please note that there is no lift, the apt is on the 4th floor of the building. Access using the staircase.

We employ a bilingual (French/English) property manager who looks after the apartment and will be meeting you on your arrival.
We often have same day depature and arrivals, to ensure that the apartment is cleaned and prepared for the next guests, check-in is from 16h00 (4.00 pm) onwards. You will need to vacate the property by 11h00 am on the day of your departure.
Whilst the apartment is being cleaned you are more than welcome to drop off your luggage and collect the keys.
Our property manager will be able to confirm with you the earliest, or most convienant time for you to check in on the day of your arrival.
We require a security deposit of 350 euros/UK pounds or 400 US dollars. We need to recieve the security deposit 2 weeks before your arrival. We accept PAYPAL, UK, French and US cheques.
On the day of your departure we kindly ask you to vacate the apartment by 11H00, our property manager will come to the apartment to carry-out the check out after your departure and your security deposit will be returned to you either by cheque or paypal the same day.
Once you have confirmed your reservation we will send you some useful information concerning Paris and the apartment to help you plan your trip.
Conditions
Strictly no smoking.
In order to secure the apartment 50% of the rental needs to be paid within the first week of the initial reservation, the remaining 50% rental can either be paid in euros (cash) on arrival or by paypal, cheque, or bank transfer. If the latter the payment needs to be rec. 2 weeks before your arrival.
We require a security deposit of 350 €, £350 or 400$US. (Happy to accept other major currencies to same amount.)
Again you are more than welcome to pay this in cash on arrival or if you prefer via paypal, cheque, or bank transfer.
Please note that the apartment is on the 4th (top floor) and that there is no lift in the apartment building.
The Paris/Ile de France region


Rue de la Harpe is right in the middle of Paris' 5th and 6th arrondissement.
Latin Quarter 5th arrondissement
Nicknamed Quartier Latin or the Latin Quarter after its originally Latin-speaking student population at Sorbonne University, this area has a small-town feel and a boho style.
A vibrant mix of students, artists and young professionals dominate the district and the trendy Boulevard Saint Germain.
Along Quai de Montebello are stalls with old prints and knick-knacks. Visit Rue Mouffetard for art shops or take in some jazz at one of the hang-outs on Rue Galande.
The 5ème is named for its necropolis, Panthéon, resting place to Paris celebrities such as Voltaire, Rousseau, Hugo and Zola. This district also has many visitors to its Natural History Museum.
Saint Germain 6th arrondissement
Saint Germain is Paris' boho-chic district, with an array of art galleries, boutiques, modern cuisine and Place Saint Sulpice with a designer flea market.
The Luxembourg palace and gardens are also located in this district. Built for Marie de Medicis in the early 17th Century, the palace and its gardens are a sprawling beauty.
Famous for its café culture, Saint Germain maintains intellects' cafés from last century, for example Les Deux Magots, once frequented by Hemingway, Sartre and Picasso.
The Central Paris / 5th / Ve area

Our apartment is located in the famous rue de la Harpe, a pedestrian cobblestoned street two-minute walk from Boulevard St. Germain in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It is within an easy stroll of Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay, the Sorbonne, Sainte-Chapelle, Jardin des Plantes,the Bastille, Marais and Isle St. Louis, etc.
Great for those who love exploring the city on foot, never need a taxi!
Fantastic location for evening strolls, boat trips, great food and wine bars all within a 10 min area.
The neighbourhood is perfect. Did we mention the five-minute walk to the twice a week open air market at Place Maubert, with the most fantastic cheese shop, a must for cheese lovers.
Eurostar station Gare du Nord 15-20 mins on RER B, Airports 30 mins RER B station St Michel on door step.

The apartment was clean and tidy on our arrival and we had the pleasure of meeting Fadela who showed us round the apartment and told us how the cooker, lights etc all worked.
Were you happy with the location? Absolutely perfect – it could not have been better!

Yes it did. It was good value for money – better than staying in a hotel for sure.

Yes most definitely. I have already recommended the apartment to friends at work should they be looking for somewhere to stay in Paris.

* The above prices are per night for 4 people. The apt sleeps up to 5 adults and 1 baby. There is an additional one off charge of 50€ for use of the single sofa bed, and 15 € for use of the baby travel bed/cot, suitable for up to 3 years old.
* For stays for 4 nights or less a 100 € short stay cleaning fee will be added.
A late arrival charge of 35 € will apply for all arrivals after 8.00 pm (20h00).
In the unlikely event of losing the apt keys, there will be a 100 € replacement fee.
If you lock yourself out of the apt there will be call-out charge of 35€
We have a paypal account, American bank account, French bank account, and British bank account.
You are able to check in to the apt on the day of your arrival from 4pm onwards. However you are able to check-in to the apartment earlier whilst it is being cleaned, and can leave suitcases and pick-up the keys.
Check-out is before 11 a.m. on the day of your departure.
We are able to accommodate late evening and or early morning arrivals, please arrange this with the property manager.
* Inclusive fees
All fees and utilities are included in the rental rate as well as a one-time linen-towel setup. Unlimited landline calls to Western Europe and North America are also included except phone calls to cellular phones in any country. Calls to cell phones are not permitted via the Property’s landline and will incur charges.
* No daily maid service
While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the weekly rental rate nor any change of linen. There is a washing machine at your disposal if you would like to wash your sheets during your stay. Rents of more than 2 weeks will include a change of bedlinen and towels. If you would like the apartment to be cleaned amd fresh bendlinen and towels provided during your stay we can organise this for you, the charge is 130 €.
* Insurance
Please make sure your personal or travellers insurance will cover you in the unfortunate event that you injure yourself in the property or if you become ill during your stay.
Your home insurance will normally cover this, however you will need to inform them of the details and address of your holiday destination.
Rental Conditions
Absent gross negligence or willful misconduct, Renter agrees to fully release the owners and any representative from any and all claims (in contract, tort, or otherwise) for liability and damages to tangible or intangible personal property or personal injury occurring to the Renter or third parties on the premises during the rental period indicated in this rental agreement.
In event of theft or damage to person or personal belongings, the owners undertake no responsibility whatsoever for direct or indirect harm suffered. All valuables left in property are done so at your own risk. All measures haven been taken to ensure that the rental property is secure, but it is your responsibility to make sure proper precaution is taken against theft and burglary.
In addition, Renter agrees to indemnify Owner or Owner's representative, for all costs, direct or indirect damages, punitive damages or other liability incurred by Owner, or Owner's representative, resulting from any act or omission by Renter in connection with this rental.
Renter agrees that Owner's liability for all claims, of any kind, arising out of this engagement shall be limited to the total fees paid by Renter to Owner on this engagement.
No action, regardless of form, relating to this Agreement or any associated engagement or service, may be brought by either party more than six months after the cause of action has accrued, except that an action for non-payment may be brought not later than one year following the date of the last payment due to the party bringing such action.
By renting the apartment you agree to the above conditions.
