The Monte Carlo region
The principality of Monaco and city of Monte Carlo lie on the southern Mediterranean Sea coast of France, near the border with Italy, in Southern Europe. It is the second smallest independent state in the world (after the Vatican) and is almost entirely urban. With no natural resources to exploit other than its location and climate, the principality has become a resort for tourists and a tax haven for businesses.
Central Monte Carlo area
A large pedestrian area with a wide street lined by palm trees adds charm to this lively district of Beausoleil. The aparthotel lies 200m from the magnificent gardens of Monte Carlo, very close to the Monaco Conference Centre
The property is also close to the designer shops and luxury boutiques of the Carré d'Or. It is about 200 m from the famous Café de Paris and Hôtel de Paris, 900 m from the Thalassotherapy Centre. It is also very close to all the entertainment venues on the coast and many cultural, musical, popular and sporting events. The golf club is nearby, so is the Monte-Carlo Country Club and the marina.
A public beach is accessible on foot 900 m away, the Monte-Carlo Country Club : tennis, fitness area, swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, squash and pool table (2000 m) is reasonably close. The Stade Louis-II swimming pool, Monaco and football ground is quite close.
How to get there
By Air: -Nice Côte-d'Azur International Airport is around 14 miles away from the city, many international airlines fly here including Air France, Easy Jet and Delta. There are regular buses connecting Monaco with the two terminals. -Heli-Air Monaco also offers an expensive Helicopter service between Nice and Monte-Carlo.
By Train: -The Monaco/Monte-Carlo station has a good connecting service with the whole of France and Italy.
By Car: -Monaco can easily be accessed by road from Italy and France.
By Boat: -Monaco's two ports 'Port Hercule' and 'Port of Fontvielle' are generally dominated by extremely exclusive yachts. Port Hercule is usually used by Cruise and commercial vessels.
