The South East England / Greater London region

London is justifiably famed as one of the world's great cities. Its history spans over two millennia, from the days of the Roman Empire through the Middle Ages, the days of Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth, the Victorian era when London was the centre of a world empire, right through to the present day. Our property is close to Greenwich pier, where you can take the Thames Clipper catamaran and disembark from piers at Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, Tate Modern Art Gallery or on the embankment at Charing Cross. Also direct from Greenwich pier, but in the other direction is the O2 stadium, which provides a wide range of entertainment and eating options.
The Central London/Zone 2 / Greenwich area
The house is a 3 minutes walk into the beautiful Royal Greenwich Park, which is steeped in history and architectural significance. All within a very short walk are the following: National Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory, the newly built spectacular Peter Harrison planetarium, the Queens House, the Rangers House and Fan Museum. The Old Royal Naval College, also just a short walk away, is set in landscaped ground on the river Thames. For your entertainment are the Greenwich Theatre, Greenwich cinema and market plus a multitude of fantastic restaurants and historic pubs.

We booked the house as our usual hotel was full during the tennis world tour finals at the O2 Everything that we could wish for was provided A beautiful, comfortable house in a quiet location near Greenwich park We hardly used the car as trains, buses and the clipper along the river were all cheap and frequent forms of transport making it easy to reach anywhere in London There is a lot to see in Greenwich and many restaurants with varied cuisine We would not hesitate to recommend this house |
Guestbook for Abraxas
Dear Diana and Kevin,
We really enjoyed our stay in your very nice, cosy and clean house, very very much. On the days with sunshine we appreciated to sit in your lovely back garden. If we stay in London another time, we wish please to rent your house again if it's available. And will recommend it to our friends.
Kind regards

Had a delightful stay in your very comfortable house. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our early morning walks around Greenwich Park. Great location, all very easy to get into central London.

Thank you for a perfect house. Comfortable and beautiful. Fast Broadband is novel to us as we live in a slow area. We had everything we needed.

Absolutely love the spot you have here, we couldn't believe we were in London!

Thank you for a delightfully peaceful end to our holiday after weeks on the move. We were able to relax at the end of busy days. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped for the most discerning. With 2 boys it provided both an insight into British life which broadened views gained in other parts of Europe.
Thank you.

We had a great time! the house is in walking distance of the center and the park. The DLR took us to the center of London where we visited the Tower and the London Eye (great views) Thursday was raining so we went to the RAF museum. A huge free museum with an array of old and modern aeroplanes.
We hope to visit this house again!
Kind regards and Thank You.

We loved the house and the area. It was great to be so central but it is still so green and peaceful. The weather was on our side too, and all of us agreed it was one of our best holiday's ever! The house has everything a family needs, we would love to come back one day.
Thanks
