Set in this Historic Conservation Area stretching along the River Thames in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Royal Arsenal and Military Academy date back to the 15th century. The Historic Royal Artillery Buildings and Gate House are overlooked by this Regency style House.
Thames river boat service leaves from a pier just by house direct to Westminster, it also stops at the O2,Canary Wharf, Tower of London and other places (though there is a faster 'Express' option that stops less). The South East England / Greater London region
This area of England has long been a favoured place to live since before the Romans who developed Londinium or London as it's now known. The two local areas of Greenwich and Woolwich (one meaning "Green Harbour" and the other "Wool Harbour" in old Saxon English) have long been important. The English Kings had their Palaces here alongside the river. These later became military academies and hospitals and are now protected as museums and areas of great historic significance.
The transport links from this part of London are second to none. You can take the tube, train or boat to an amazing variety of destinations. One change to Camden or Richmond and Kew Gardens. If you wish to visit further afield to Brighton for instance, you need only change once at London Bridge.
Central London/Zone 2 / Greenwich area
Set in this Historic Conservation Area stretching along the River Thames in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Royal Arsenal and Military Academy date back to the 15th century. The Historic Royal Artillery Buildings and Gate House are overlooked by this Regency stile House.
We have a Military Hall (1min walk) that may be made available for afternoon teas, dinners, seminars and receptions. This Hall also has a large roof terrace, set with roses, wisteria and clematis. The park at the front of the house is an ideal place to sit in the sun. There are also grass areas along the river 1min walk away or so.. you can sit on these and have a picnic. Traffic is very limited in The Royal Arsenal, the speed limit is 5mph (8kph), most of the area is Pedestrian only. 21 Gun Salute Fired from Parade Square near house on the Queen's birthday.
