About the home

This 4* townhouse sits in a lovely private square with easy access everywhere in town. There is FREE private off street parking for one car, full Satellite TV with 40" LCD flat screen and fast wireless broadband access. The TV is the most uptodate High Definition TV which has Sky Plus, an inbuilt program recorder to record programs, to enable you to watch when you wish to. An Ipod dock/ alarm clock is provided and a cold drinks cabinet. There are alarms clocks in all 3 bedrooms. plus hairdryers. This location offers a carefree relaxed holiday location in a private house with good transport to The 02 Arena,( in view across the River, )The new Olympic Stadium, Canary Wharf; The International Exhibition Centre, Excel and all that Central London has to offer. Not forgetting numerous events on the River Thames being staged throughout the year to mark the Queen's Jubilee. Top Class seats as the pageant unfolds in front of you, on the River. Zone 2 location which is the cheapest Underground ticket!

This special townhouse fronts onto the River Thames affording superb views of the wildlife and passing water traffic. Why not sit on the balcony and sip something cool while watching the river life, passing sculling races and the fishing cormorants.

An ideal location for Tourists or business people. A real alternative to expensive hotel living in the Capital. Close by transport facilities for all parts of inner London. Tower Bridge and The Tower of London is just one km away.

The accommodation provides 3 bedrooms, three of which have double beds. These are supported by 2 bathrooms. One with large Jacuzzi bath, bidet & shower, one with large double enclosure, with power shower and WC.

The top bedroom has it's own bathroom and a full sized balcony overlooking the Thames at the other end of the room. All of the 3 floors, have the same spectacular river views to keep you entertained. Bring Binos!

This riverside townhouse has access on the front, River Thames side. At the back of the property you have a private square with mature planting of trees and roses. There is no traffic noise being set back from the roads.

Apart from the 6 strong carved wood dining chairs in the dining area, there are two additional breakfast bar stools at the breakfast bar to facilities eating on the go and we have two baby high chairs.

From the front door you take the stairs to the First floor, which has the kitchen/dining area/lounge, all open plan areas. There are breathtaking views from the lounge of passing sailing ships and various birds. You may like to bring some binoculars. In this are you will find our entertainment centre via the HDSkyPlus/40inch TV. Full details are provided to ensure you get the most out of these facilities.

There are stairs from this level up to the next floor, Second floor. Here you will find 2 double bedrooms with a bathroom in between. One of these bedrooms overlooks the gardens in the square and the other overlooks the River. The bathroom includes a doubel sized shower enclosure and power shower, WC and wash basin.

Take the stairs again to the Third floor. Here is one bedroom with an en suite bathroom. At the reverse end of the room by the double bed is the full sized balcony, which has a table and seating for two. From the bed you can see the River.
The en suite bathroom has the largest bath we could find with jacuzzi, overhead shower, there's a marbled vanity unit with hand basin, a WC and Bidet.

Further details outdoors:
At the weekends the local sailing schools set out in their sculling races and you hear the call of the Cox. In the warmer months of the year you will see sailing craft zig zagging across the river. The 02 Arena provides a gentle light show at nighttime, but all is quiet. This is a World Class Venue affording you the opportunity to see some World class acts. All within 6 minutes travel time.

On the balcony what better than to enjoy the changing view with the papers to hand and something to sip! The neighbours are friendly too so don’t be surprised if you get a wave as they pass by.

Nearby is Canary Wharf; the 02 Concert Arena; The New Olympic Venues; Tower Bridge; The Tower of London" The London Dungeons; The Excel Exhibition Centre; The Royal Mint; St. Paul’s Cathedral; Southwark Cathedral and all that London has to offer. Westminster is 10 minutes by the local River Bus. There are several modes of Transport in fact so getting around everywhere is very easy. Children under 15 years travel free on the local Underground and our location is the cheapest ticket , Zone 1/2 , the best tocket to purchase is the "Oyster Card"

The house is booked with a non-refundable £200 booking deposit, then 2 months before your arrival the balance becomes due along with the security deposit.

We can accept most credit cards, American Express being the exception as we absorb the card charges and this one is very expensive. We also accept English cheques and direct bank transfers. (Our guests pay the bank charges levied by their own banks for transfer.)

Conditions

The house is booked with a non-refundable £200 booking deposit, then 2 months before your arrival the balance becomes due along with the security deposit.
There is a refundable security deposit charge, which is from £100 up to £300 depending on the number of people and length of stay. This is refunded back to your credit card after the property has been checked following your stay.

Bookings are made via the telephone with a credit card, a £200 booking deposit secures the dates and then 2 months before arrival the balance becomes due. This balance can be paid at any time earlier if exchanges rates are favourable at any given time.

Following payment a confirmation of booking document is raised and sent to you via email or letter. All details of the bookings are confirmed and you will be asked to complete the document and return a copy to me for my confidential file. (This document also supplies an accountant’s reference contact point for your peace of mind.)

“Warm, cosy and easy access to London city.” We arrived late in the evening and we were pleasantly surprised to feel at home so quickly. Even though we arrived late we could let ourselves in by a very clever system to obtain the key. The townhouse is located at the shore of the Thames, right in front of the magnificent O2 arena which is beautifully enlightened at night! The house itself was warm, cosy and well equipped: TV, bedroom TV, stereo, enough space for the children and clean and comfortable bathrooms. Shops (night shop and ASDA) and the DLR-station were close by (5 min walk). The owners are very helpfull and really want to make you feel at home. Tourist information & restaurantflyers (or take-away & deliveries) are available in the house. This is very convenient if you do not want to cook yourself. Lots of good restaurants nearby at Canary Warf. Simply a good, peacefull location for a no-stress stay in London. Thank you very much Christine! We had a wonderfull stay and we will certainly come back.

I was one of the six adults in the party with Nicole Christenson; the other mom in the group. We appreciated your outstanding apartment, as well as the time and effort you put into making us welcome in that home. The extra high chair and crib were very much appreciated and we know you went above and beyond to provide those items for us. Our girls had a wonderful time and were very comfy and cosy in the space! We had a wonderful time at Riverside and exploring London. One highlight was a matinee at the Globe to see "As you Like it". we walked the Thames path just about everyday, went to the Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, were impressed with Canary Wharf,my sister and brother in-law remember the old docklands so it amazed them. we also walked Regents Park along the canal to Camden Locks. Saw the City and places we had worked, St.Pauls, the Tower, Trafalgar Sq.
and so many more places that we could fit in. It was indeed good to return each day to a comfortable welcoming place to rest. thank you we will remember Riverside in the future as a good place to stay. Regards Hazel
